I drafted Wayne ahead of Harrison (1 Viewer)

And it was Harrison who burned MacKenzie on the play he was tackled ont eh 1 yard line. At least Harrison was able to burn their best CB.

Listen, this thread is meaningless. They are both going to put up over 1,100 yards and 9-12 TD's. They are both good. It was a coin flip on who would be better.

Wayne feasted in game 1. The famine will come. Steady Marvin will be steady Marvin all year. I'm sticking with what I said. I said feast and famine and I'm still right because I said feast.

I honestly can see Harrison and Wayne finishing the year out as WR 1 and 2.

Manning could throw over 40 TDs this year easily. Each of these guys could easily have 15+ TD receptions.

Don't even know if this has been mentioned but I thought Harrison looked just as good as Wayne last night even though Wayne ended up with better stats. Obviously you can't go wrong with either guy. I expect them to have similar #s come end of season anyway. 2 close plays that could have easily tipped the stats in Harrison's favor were:

1) Harrison's long reception to the 1 yard line. Super close to his 2nd TD here.

2) I believe it was a 3rd down play in the red zone, Manning went to harrison on the right side, but just missed him. The ball fell short on the goal line before Harrison turned around to notice. It was another red zone target for Harry.

Anyway, I pretty much saw it like Harrison was super close to having 3 TDs but only ended up with 1. If I were a Wayne owner, I wouldn't get too excited thinking that Wayne will regularly outproduce Harry.

I'm not a Wayne or Harry owner, but I am a Manning owner :P

Don't call Marvin Harrison Harry. Harrison/Wayne/Manning/Addai owners better hope the Colts don't blow people out of the water like this every week-otherwise they'll be sitting come week 14.

:ptts: Isn't fantasy football great? There's always another side to every scenario.

I also drafted Wayne ahead of Harrison
Is it just me????I am not sure of the exact targets but it sure looked like too me that Wayne was targetted ahead of Marvin by at least a 3 to 1 ratio.

Harrison looked slow, and after one hit he was even slow to get up.....he also looked winded and slightly out of shape.

 to all of us that took Wayne ahead of Marvin

Stay tuned!
Guys...honestly, it was ONE GAME. As switz alluded, this was 100% about Jason David. Manning is one of the elite passers of all time, he's going to throw to the guy that's open. Jason David looked last night like one of the worst corners in the league. Simple as that.Wayne and Harrison were both consensus top-10 fantasy WRs this year; it's not like anyone should be surprised by the night either of them delivered, nor is it any indication that one will have better stats than the other.

Eric Johnson caught 8 balls last night to Reggie Bush's 4, does that mean Johnson is going to have 2x the catches this year?
Exactly. He's that good where he doesn't have to force it in to one guy so occassionally a guy like Dallas Clark will grab 2 TD's in a game. Wayne and Harrison will produce similar numbers. Can't say who I'd rather have right now. Some weeks Addai will steal the show, but if anyone is open, Manning will absolutely find them. He's scary good.

I was all set to pick Harrison but I have a feeling this is the year Wayne passes him. I'm a huge Harrison fan and have taken him every or traded him for him. But i see a decline this year and I think Wayne will be Manning's #1. I know Harrison has been consistent every year so far, but age has to catch up with him and Wayne is a young stud in the waiting. DaTruth
Wayne over Harrison is the ***OFFICIAL*** Shark Move.
:goodposting: :winning:

We switched to an auction format this year ($200 cap, 17-player roster that includes IDPs) . I paid $35 for Harrison. Wayne went for $32. I think that's about right in terms of their relative value. The question I have for the Wayne-over-Harrison crowd is this:

Would you have paid $37 or $38 or even $40 for Wayne. He might be better, but is he that much better?

agree.the Colts D is my concern. I was hoping for complete ineptitude from the Colts D this year so that they could be an 11-5 team playing from behind in several 2nd halves this year. This wasnt the Texans or the Raiders they shut out. They kept 2006's best offense out of the end zone and looked dominating at times.Granted, this didn’t affect harrison/wayne last night, because they kept gunning into the 4th Q. And maybe they will continue to do so.But I think the Colts can and will win some games the way they did in the 2006 playoffs, which included average totals from Manning/Harrison/Wayne, and a solid D.

They better not sit their players if they clinch a bye early. Else, they'll get another early exit from the playoffs. The bye week is a blessing or a curse. It allows some teams to go into the playoffs fresh, other teams come in stale because of it.Surely they learned their lesson.

If they sit their players it could make them stale or it could leave them refreshed? You mean it could be good or bad? Brilliant!

Reading comprehension is your friend.Teams that rest their players with a bye week come in stale. The Broncos, Chiefs, and the Colts are great examples. They clinched a bye week early, rested their starters, essentially took a month off and got whacked in the playoffs.

Teams that play 16 weeks and get the bye come into the playoffs fresh. What's so difficult to understand about this?

If they had not won the Super Bowl last year I would agree with this but I think the experience that comes with winning it all will help them remain focused even if they have had a long rest. They sure looked ready to play on Thursday night and that was coming off the longest layoff of the season.

was kind of surprised to see Harrison "curl up" on that 2nd long pass where he tackled on the 1. It was almost like he was anticipating getting hit on the ankles and was protecting himself.

Of course hindsight is 202-20, but foresight - my man you have it.
