I hope the people I'm playing use SI's projections.... (1 Viewer)

I think one of the guys I drafted with used SI's draft sheet in my PPR league. He says they're the best around. He's also routinely in last place but he did get lucky with some trades and won it all a few years back.

Guys, get Lance Moore in your lineups over AJ Green and Dez.

If you're starting Kaepernick, sit him for EJ Manuel.

SI's have always been subpar, but let's be real: so are most sites'. Weekly projections are probably the least useful bit of fantasy info that industry sites provide, but we like them because they give us something to hope for or quibble about during the week.

In reality they should probably just retire their fantasy coverage if this indicative of their knowledge:

If you check the link their projections for this week have AJ Green and Dez Bryant at number 32 and 33 for RECEIVERS. Absolutely useless, worth a laugh though, other positions not much better! :S
I don't think the projections for Bryant and Green are that far off. They are giving Bryant 109 yards receiving. The only reason he's #32 and not #8 is because they didn't give him a TD. While I personally feel he scores and is a a top 5 guy this week, we all know TD's are very had to predict. I'm never going to knock someone for not predicting a TD. Their projection shows the volumn is there.

While I can understand seeing AJ Green outside the top 30 is kinda shocking, he is playing againt Peanut Tillman this week. Peanut is not only a very good CB, but he causes a lot of fumbles as well. So AJ has a shot at minus a couple points on every catch he lines up across from Tillman. Assuming your league has negative points for fumbles. I doubt Dalton clears 250 yards passing and Cincy has a couple new months to get into the mix as well. This is not going to be a shoot out, nor will it be a game Cincy has to force feed Green. 20-17 Chicago is what I"m thinking.

Whenever you view players in a rankings format you should never get too excited. Players ranked twenty spots from one another are probably within a few fantasy points of each other. What you should be doing is looking at projections and adding your own get feelings.

Well said.
