I think he is a nice TE play this week....or tonight that is....Raiders should be down early and the Chargers are awful against TE's....also Miller plays well vs. San Diego.
Just about every ranking I've seen him in the top 5. Everyone is hot on him this week. Chargers are worst in the league vs TE's in terms of FF performance.
With that said, I don't keep any Raiders on my rosters.
Sticking with Owen Daniels, Jason Witten, and Tony Schefflerx2 in my 4 leagues.
If you look at it, Miller has actually been pretty good all season long. He's a very under the radar guy, and appears to be putting up stats with shoddy QB play and a lackluster offense.
Gates has been pretty awful for a few weeks in a row, but I don't think I can do it.
Oakland is still going to struggle to move the ball limiting red zone opportunities for Miller. The Raiders also have a couple receivers out so I would think SD would key on Miller a bit more than usual.
I drank the Vernon Davis Kool-Aid on draft day, and picked Miller up early on. He has been a nice surprise at TE for me and I'm hoping he comes through again tonight with this nice matchup and gets me a first round bye in the playoffs.
Can you start him over Antonio Gates?Gates has been pretty awful for a few weeks in a row, but I don't think I can do it. Yeah, I was looking for this thread this morning so I could post the same thing. I'm an idiot.I think Gates had three targets. He was open on all three and Rivers threw it over his head each time, once in the end zone. The game got out of hand and the Chargers had no reason to throw it to Gates after that. I still can't bring myself to start Miller over him though simply because of the fact that the red zone targets aren't going to be there for him.
