I Now Remember How Much I Hate Fantasy Football (1 Viewer)

I relied heavily on FBG projections and software this year in both of my leagues. The Rate My Team feature had me as odds on favorite in both leagues. I am the only FBG subscriber in either league.

I am well on the way to having the low score in both leagues. How can they be so bad?

:ptts:

"With luck, you have a 50% chance of winning your league (either you will or you won't)."
"If you're still picking from the top 50 list in round 8, you might as well send the trophy to the engraver because it will be yours at the end of the season."

I can't believe I still buy their BS after all these years.

The tools are fantastic, the news is outstanding. The sunday updates are extremely helpful and the ability to link teams and find free agents at-a-glance are very helpful.

The projections have been inconsistent and unreliable for years. It is what it is.

I can't wait for the first edition of this year's Random Shots either.

I wonder if Joe is still an NFL junkie with multiple big screens and fresh batteries in the remote and a goofy and dysfunctional mental hard drive?

Team 1 where I supposedly really dominated the draft:

QB

Luck

Newton

RB

Charles

Foster

Martin

Jennings

Lamar Miller

WR

Cruz

Vincent Jackson

Decker

TE

Pitta

Def

Bengals

Bills

K

Hauschka

1 qb, 2 rb, 2 wr, 1 flex std scoring

Yeah, and now I have to fire fantasycurse33 for giving me horrible fantasy advice. He told me to start Vincent Jackson over Eric Decker. Horrible.

You also seem to have made the rookie error of projecting the entire season from week 1 results.

Plus also it was a bad beat.

Team 2 where I was a solid favorite:

QB

Wilson

Brady

RB

Charles

Montee Ball

Joique Ball

Lamar Miller

Knile Davis

WR

Jordy Nelson

Michael Floyd

Kendall Wright

Victor Cruz

TE

Cameron

Jordan Reed

D

Bengals

K

Gostowski

1 qb, 2 rb, 3 wr, 1 flex

std scoring

RB Summary:

Nice work here. We like both your starting running backs, as our projections indicate that they give you a combined 4.4 point-per-game advantage over an average opponent in this league. Our projections have Jamaal Charles ranked at #1 and Arian Foster ranked at #6.

Your bench also looks good. Tough to do better than Doug Martin at RB3; he's a likely flex starter.

Why didn't you draft Le'Veon Bell or LeGarette Blount? Should have known they were going to smoke the Browns today.

I am now taking #### from some guy in my league who opened with TE TE for picks 1.4 and 2.6.

I can't make this up.

lol

Bought a subscription so I could just use Draft Dominator to draft for me because I hate fantasy football and refuse to do any research of my own.

When I asked in the applications forum how to use it, I was told "I need to use a little skill"

WTF

My teams look similar to yours and I'm going 0-3 this week. You in for a friendly suicide pact?

Exactly. #### all of the #######s who say, "You should have done your own projections." WAT? I am going to do a better job than Jene Bramel and Cecil Lammey?

I started doing better when i just printed up some ESPN cheatsheet and marked it up with players i liked.

BTW, if you use FBG projections and tools, it follows that they are going to rate your team the highest.

I've gotta say, after one week it appears the SP knew it's stuff this year. I spent no time researching, stopped by the SP the morning of my draft and wrote down the names of all the players who had their own thread on the first 3 pages. I highlighted them on my generic list and went on my way.

I enjoy football and Sundays much more once the fantasy season is over.

After a couple of years away from ff, I now realize how annoying it is listening to someone ##### about their team.

This place is great for lazy fantasy footballing. I spend 80% of my time watching and reading up on College ball so I'm happy to come here and get some quick tips when it's time to draft a pro team. Not surprisingly I do well when the boys of the Shark pool do well in finding some hidden gems. Adrian Peterson Rookie year when he had a 25 page thread about how he was going to take over and dominate I owned most of my leagues. The "bump finley" year I sucked. Last year I kicked ### with Lacy.

This year we will see how jerks like Jay Cuttler and K Benjamin do because thats how far most of my teams will go.

We only start 1 TE and he was eying his second TE as his flex.
From Mr Double TE who also took a D in the 4th round:

Julius Thomas not looking like such a bad pick. Odds look good he will outscore the Mob's RB's, WR's, TE and FLEX combined. Very interesting...
I am the MOB. :bag:

If you look around the country club filled with rich white men for the noob and you can't find him then it may just be you.
