I quit Fantasy Baseball this week (1 Viewer)

Crashed and burned mid-season and had to call it quits. I was down to a single money league, but my new job is without Internet and with family I had very little time to keep up. Plus the league was with the guys that own and write for RotoJunkie.com, and I will admit, I was a bit out of my league knowledge wise. Found a guy that would take over my team and that was that.

Not sure if I will play again. If I do, it will most likely be a random Yahoo league, or something with co-workers. Ones where guys are still drafting name players only and I can feel good about myself.

This is the first time in almost a decade that I haven't had some kind of fantasy team.

Fantasy Football is a year round gig. Come on in...the water is warm.

Come back to WIS, my friend. :goodposting:

Scaled back to 1.5 leagues this year, in both football and bases. Just can't keep up with it anymore, don't have the desire to pour over thousands of stats.

Thinking very much about doing this. Getting back to baseball as the sport I love to just watch is my first priority. WIS will be a nice distraction for "competition" as I draft a team with Billy Hamilton and Rickey Henderson leading off and Rabbit Maranville batting ninth. After a break, I'm actually thinking about designing a program to use during drafting. I shopped all around and never could find that perfect software to help with drafting for fantasy baseball. I have the concept down, a friend that is a great programmer, his wife that is a database administrator and another friend that hosts web sites. Everyone is on board to work on the project. Will probably start out with baseball and then tweak and design programs for all four major sports. But for now, just watching the Rangers and only worried about their production, not the other 22-23 guys I have drafted playing elsewhere.

I may be dropping down to one football league myself because it just gets too confusing. I also want to gamble a bit more on pro football this year and I don't want to have to root for one of my fantasy guys to fumble so I can cover my bet.

Here would be my 2007-2008 fantasy team line-up:

One keeper league pro football team (been in league for 8 years)

One fantasy college football team (with partner)

Uberdynasty (I manage the hockey and baseball teams but get help)

A couple of WIS drafts

I had four pro football fantasy teams last year which was way too much. With the Tigers in a pennant race and college and pro football games on the weekend there just isn't enough time. I'd have to reduce my time spent watching the sports to actually concentrate on all these fantasy teams and I'm just not doing it.

Never have had the slightest inkling of playing baseball with all those games ever day. Actually peaked on my FF interest two years ago. I just don't put in the time that I did for awhile there. Too many leagues probably spawned this.
