I sent this idea to MFL.com (1 Viewer)

I don't think they've addressed this problem, so I sent them this solution. What do you guys think?:

Right now your site has it to where the Commish of a league can look into each owner's trade proposals, auction bids and the such. That's a competitive advantage or in simplier terms, cheating. I'd guess that most people with this power doesn't exercise it, but the fact that they could if they wanted to is a kink in an otherwise stellar armor.

The only way the Commish can prevent this potential of cheating is by turning off this ability himself. That's like the Dolphins leaving Ricky Williams in a room full of drugs and asking him politely to not smoke it.

Well I obviously proposed that your site takes it a step further. Have it to where the entire league can know if the Commish has this ability or not of seeing things that they shouldn't be able to see.

Lets say that it's currently off, the Commish can not see that Team A has offered Team B a trade offer. He can't see that I made a 2,000 ZB bid on a player in a Zealots Field auction. Now if he were to change it to where he does have that ability, an email is sent to the entire league informing them of this. They would want to know why he did this. People who normally would do this, now won't because then everyone would know.

Like I side before, I doubt people exercise this power too much, but the fact that they can is a little unsettling.

MFL is one of my favorite websites and I believe this would make it that much better.

Sincerely,

PewterRed <~~I didn't really write that.

Hiya -

It is now possibile. MFL allows the commissioner the option of viewing or not viewing transaction request. If the setting is VIEW, the league members are aware of it.

Ummmmm, mfl.com has done this with the commish ability for over a year now. An e-mail is sent to the entire league stating that you have either turned on or turned off the ability to review other team's transactions and make player moves for them.I have to do that as a commish to drop or add a player for an owner when they can't access the site for some reason.Good idea, though.

I had an idea to link everyones computers together virtually so we could view and share information. I just haven't thought of a good name for it yet. :D

Al Gore may be able to help you with that - that is if you can catch him between making global disaster fantasy films.

glad to read that MFL is on top of that already

i'd like to see a "bid history" added myself. sure you can wade through a lot of pages to find all auction bids on all players, but why not have the ability to do so by clicking on his name?

for example:

player name

TEAM A - March 1st 10:30 am bid $5

TEAM B - March 1st 11:00 am bid $10

TEAM A - March 2nd 10:30 am bid $15

etc until winning bid
