I think I'm on my Man Period (1 Viewer)

SUPER ELITE UPPER TIER
Last week I went to the doctor and found out I had a very bad sinus infection as well as a URI. It was so bad, they actually thought it could have been pneumonia. Fortunately, it was not. But my doctor gave me some pretty heavy duty antibiotics and I've been on them for about a week now.

I've only got about 2 more days worth, but wow, I can't wait to be off of these things. I've been on antibiotics before, but this is the first time I've ever felt side effects from them, other than nasty dumps. It seems like the slightest thing can make me tear up and cry. Not like cry-cry, but that weird whimper cry like I just watched Rudy. Yesterday it was so bad, I teared up looking out the window. Why? No damn clue.

Now, I've stated before that I cry a lot at movies. And I'm not ashamed of that. Whatever. But this is completely different. It's the craziest thing ever. Anyone else ever experience this? If I didn't still feel sickly, I'd stop taking the pills. But I can't. In fact, I teared up early today thinking about taking another pill. WTF?!?

I guess this is what it's like to have your period.

Are you sure you got antibiotics and not estrogen? Your doctor may just be a great practical joker.

ETA: If you don't mind me asking, are your nipples sensitive?

Not anymore than usual.

I looked at the side effects and it says that it can cause depression. I wouldn't say that I'm depressed, by any means. But I definitely find things way sadder than I normally do.

You need to quit being a sissy. I cannot imagine any man 50 years ago whining about his sore nipples, tearing up while looking out the window or crying over movies.

Well, to be fair, I wasn't really whining. I was simply just asking. But after your tone, I feel a good cry coming on.

Need some chocolate, GB?
Maybe that and some flowers. I feel like no one has sent me flowers in a long time. :(
Do you need a hug? I'll give you one if you'd like.
Funny thing is, again, most of the time I don't even notice it. I'd say 98% of the day, I'm normal old Sheik. It's just like out of the blue I'll read something or think of something and it'll almost bring me to tears for like 30 seconds before it passes. It's really strange.

If you need an extra like or something, just let me know. Point me in the direction of the post if necessary.

TPW.

I think you just defined mild depression, guy.

Hmmmm. Yeah, I think I described it wrong. I'm not sad most of the time. As I said above, 98% of the time I'm fine. But every so often something that would normally make me sad, makes me 100 times sadder than normal. But only for about a minute or so. It's like a weird mood swing. Hence calling it my man period.

You need to be proactive to eliminate those blues. Redecorate your room, or change your hair color, new lipstick, buy a new dress...you know, the usual stuff.

Offer your partner frequent fellatio if you're not up to the sechs. No reason he should suffer, too.

It's really not a big deal. So you're gay now. A lot of people are nowadays, and you've got your own cable channel, and you can get married. Great timing.

You still crying Shiek?
I'm not. I called the doctor and she said that if the antibiotics aren't helping, that it's most likely a viral infection. So they won't help. So I stopped taking them. In just 20 some hours off of them, I can already feel a huge difference.

If that's how women feel when they get their period, I feel bad for them. Think I'll watch a Rambo movie marathon tonight.

Sorry to hear that. With Em gone, I need someone to be the entertainment around here.

Any chance you'd get back on them just for the entertainment?

Probably not.
