I think the Chiefs make the Wild Card (jurb26 called it first). (1 Viewer)

It's just a hunch but that team does have enough talent and Alex Smith can keep his team in games. Grandpa Reid has the Chiefs dressing in all Red and that homefield advantage is pretty legit.

*two thumbs up*

They are 2-0, way to go out on a limb. :towelwave:
*shrugs*

How was I supposed to know how the team was going to react under Andy Reid? They look pretty good and Alex Smith is actually looking pretty decent. I think this team may be able to steal a win away from the Broncos.

Not a limb.

There aren't 6 playoff quality teams in the AFC, and KC very well could be one of the 3-4 best teams in the Conference.

I called this a few months ago. Welcome to the party.
Yeah, I've been calling this since they signed Alex Smith. I feel like they're clearly a wild card team in the AFC. Their schedule is cake. Their defense is better than people give them credit for and the offense is obviously better than people thought.

I'm going to go out on a limb and say they will NOT. I also will say they are going to lose their next 5 games, including the home game vs. the Raiders.

You and everyone else. Nothing to see here.

I don't see them passing Broncos for division, so they are in the WC hunt. they will have to contend with loser of Balt/Cin and Hou/Ind.

Will KC be better than Bal or Indy? I have serious doubts.

I had them as a 7 to 9 win team preseason. Beating Cowboys+Eagles bumps them to the 9-10 win range, which should be good enough for a WC.

No Alex Smith QB'd team will ever win a Super Bowl, though.

This KC defense is looking pretty good though. Not saying they will beat DEN but it could be interesting.

I can see them winning in KC, doubtful in Denver. Can they have a better record overall? 10 wins isn't gonna win the AFCW this year.

suppose they win 10. will that be enough to be ahead of Baltimore/Cincy or Indy/Houston?

Andy, meet chip kelly.
They've met several times in the buffet line.
 Agreed about the Chiefs though. Very good defense, game managing QB, and go-to player in Charles. In the AFC this year that's probably good enough.

Yeah...pretty much everything I say here is wrong. I also bet $100 in Vegas on the 49ers last week.

The Chiefs are probably going to make the playoffs but that doesn't mean they are that good of a team. They just have a ridicuously easy schedule this year.

Also, they have yet to play a good team.

combined 2012 record of Chiefs opponents (so far): 14-34. Granted - this Chiefs team is waaaaay better than they were last year, but is Jacksonville better than a 2-14 team? Is Philly better than 4-12? Is Dallas better than 8-8? probably not, so I'm not all that impressed with this 3-0 start.

For a fella that was just a few days ago predicting a 5-11 record for his own team, you are sure hard to impress.

lol...if I think the Broncos are 5-11, just imagine how bad I must feel about the rest of the AFCW.
