Identifying the Locals - Adding Team Icon To Posts (1 Viewer)

Hi Folks,

One of the things people have asked for is a way to identify posters by what team they closely follow. I know when I'm reading a post and the guy is talking about Willie Parker, I'll read his post a little differently if the guy follows every move the Steelers make.

On the one hand, he might be a little too enthusiastic on the homerism. On the other, he probably hears / sees a lot more about Willie Parker than the rest of the non Steeler fanatics.

Either way, it helps to see where the guy is coming from.

So Keith set us up with this new feature.

All you do is to go to "My Controls" at the top right.

Click “Edit Profile Information”

And then select “Favorite NFL Team”

Also note that you have to answer the first question about how many points a FG is worth. That's just a goofy spambot prevention thing.

Let us know what you think.

J

Love it Joe. Thanks.

I'd still love a way to have the best posters by team identified as well. There were numerous threads mentioning the best posters in the past. Is this also an option?

would be nice to be able to have TWO (or at least admin override to add another) as many of use follow our "hometown team" as well as our "current hometown" team.in my case it'd be lions/falcons. As my "favorite" team is the Lions, but being in Atlanta (and with more constant barrage of local info) I'd probably be more "helpful" with falcons 411. But overall great idea.

Thanks Joe, this should help so I don't continue to get called out as a homer for about 27 different NFL teams in the game chat threads during the year.

can we have a setting to hide them? im in no avatar, no smiley stealth mode here in cubeville
If you use firefox and have adblocker, right click on any logo, and hit "adblock Image...", and then "Add Filter" button.I don't condone this though like I do hiding the thread rating stars though - I think this is great.

Agreed here, if possible. Longtime Hoosier and continuous Colts fan, but also a 'Skins fan after a decade in the DC area.

This is a great upgrade! Now, if I could only get rid of:

Spambot Registration Prevention Question: 3

Sign Up For Daily Updates Via Email?: Yes

I'd be elated!
