IDP Dynasty trade offer: Getting older concerns me (1 Viewer)

Was offered a trade today that I really think I should take, but I'm worried...

He offers:

Calvin Johnson, WR

Brandon Marshall, WR

Derrick Johnson, LB

in exchange for:

Sammy Watkins, WR

2016 1st Round Draft pick

12 team dynasty league with IDP (Offensive starters can flex for 0 to 2 RB, 3 to 5 WR with 1 or 2 TE. IDP starters have flex, but it almost always comes down to 3 DT/DE, 3 LB, 1 flex DT/DE/LB, 2 CB, 2S)

Pretty standard scoring.

I'm going to be 4 -4 (double headers 3 times during the year to play everyone) after this week, but that is only 2 games out of first and very much in the playoff hunt.

My concern...I don't think I'm good enough to win a championship this year, so getting older with those three might be counter productive. On the other hand, my WRs SUCK. Watkins is the best I got by far. They are a big reason I'm 4-4. Getting a few years of production out of Johnson and Marshall might be nice.

My LBs are pretty mediocre. Johnson would probably be a starter for me this year.

I know some will want to see my full roster, but just from this info, what do you guys think?

I would do this deal. I think Calvin and Marshall still have a couple productive years left and even in dynasty I try not to look to much beyond 2 yrs because things change in a hurry.

I wouldn't be too worried about losing Watkins but the #1 could be an issue depending on where it is going to be (early, mid, or late).

In a vacuum I make this deal based on the limited info you provided.

If you expect to do well this year after that trade, I might do it. Not crazy about late 1st round picks. Can often do better with FA pickups depending on how deep the league and waiver wire is.
