IDP Rankings (1 Viewer)

Trying to craft my own IDP rankings for a 10-team league that drafts about 35 LBs. Solo tackles are 1pt, Assists are 0.5pts, and Sacks are 3pts.

Please let me know if any of these LBs look dramatically out of place, or if I've left an important LB off the list. I appreciate the help.

I dont see Hawk in your rankings and i think you have a few guys to low and a few to high but that could be just personal preference too

let me look at it some more

RED i would drop a tierGreen I would raise a tier

Purple has questions regarding positon that they will play and that will effect their output so i would monitor their situation closely

Not bad, but it looks like your scoring system is fairly neutral. It certainly doesn't look like it favors the big play. You also didn't mention whether this is a dynasty startup or not. My guess is that it is based on where you have guys like Thurman and Lewis/Brooking, but then Fletcher is ranked highly as well. Some of my thoughts are included.

LB02 Keith Bulluck TEN

LB03 Donnie Edwards SD

LB04 Zach Thomas MIA

LB05 Brian Urlacher CHI

LB06 Odell Thurman CIN (Probably too high for scoring system, reach to project 95 solo tackles to rank here)

LB07 Lofa Tatapu SEA

LB08 Mike Peterson JAX

LB09 London Fletcher BUF (a little high)

LB10 Nick Barnett GB

LB11 Gary Brackett IND (too high; similar player to Quarles who you have much lower)

LB12 Will Witherspoon STL

LB13 Ray Lewis BAL

LB14 Andra Davis CLE

LB15 Derrick Brooks TB

LB16 Antonio Pierce NYG (too low, I'd switch Pierce and Fletcher)

LB17 Kawika Mitchell KC

LB18 Jeremiah Trotter PHI

LB19 Dan Morgan CAR

LB20 Derrick Johnson KC

LB21 Lance Briggs CHI

LB22 Keith Brooking ATL (way too low, he should be a top 12 player back on the weak side)

LB23 James Farrior PIT

LB24 Shelton Quarles TB

LB25 Danny Clark OAK

LB26 Tedy Bruschi NE

LB27 Cato June IND

LB28 Julian Peterson SEA (too high - unlikely to rack up tackles and won't make up big points with a big sack number in this system)

LB29 Karlos Dansby ARI

LB30 Bradie James DAL

LB31 Jeff Ulbrich SF

LB32 Lemar Marshall WAS

LB33 Takeo Spikes BUF

LB34 Ernie Sims DET

LB35 Shawne Merriman SD

LB36 Mike Vrabel NE (wouldn't make my top 50)

LB37 Sam Cowart HOU

LB38 Teddy Lehman DET

LB39 Morlon Greenwood HOU

LB40 Adalius Thomas BAL

LB41 Chad Greenway MIN

LB42 Brian Simmons CIN

LB43 Ian Gold DEN

LB44 Daryl Smith JAX

LB45 Thomas Davis CAR

I think AJ Hawk needs to be in here somewhere.  And Kirk Morrison for sure.

Appreciate all the great feedback so far. Thank you.

The league actually isn't dynasty...I just think twice about LBs in the 33-35 age bracket.

Regarding AJ Hawk, I have him coming in as the SLB with Ben Taylor playing WLB. Do you guys have differing information?

Regarding Kirk Morrison, I have him playing SLB with Thomas Howard coming in as the WLB. Do you guys have differing information?

If they're durable, talented, and in a good situation, those backers will do just fine in redrafts.  Brooking is younger than Fletcher, both are 30.

It's the opposite.  Check out most of the post draft Nick Barnett threads for multiple links.  Taylor is in competition for the SLB role with Roy Manning, among others.

Howard has to earn his way into the lineup.  He could play anywhere.  It's very unlikely Morrison moves to SLB.

Lots of HAWK info in this thread the reason i have barnett in purple is because i think he could end up at SLB and as Jene stated I dont see Kirk being moved...

I have Bullock above Vilma because of the 3-4 VS 4-2.Right now the Packers would like to get Jodge on the field and to do that Hawk and Barnett would be OLB's with Hawwk probably S, but whether they camn is another matter. Hodge is a hard hitter and excelllent tackler. If they can't Taylor will probably be SLB.

From a WI paper

Linebackers This much we know: Mike (middle) linebacker Nick Barnett and No. 5 overall pick A.J. Hawk, who started out at will (weak side), are going to be on the field a lot. Roy Manning, an undrafted rookie last year, and free-agent pickup Ben Taylor alternated at sam (strong side) with the No. 1 unit, but if third-round pick Abdul Hodge, who worked behind Barnett at mike, can emerge, Barnett could be a candidate to move outside.

"There were some good guys added in there," defensive coordinator Bob Sanders said. "It creates a lot of good competition, and competition breeds guys elevating their level of play. It should be interesting." •
