First of all, Hello all im new here. Here's my question I am in a 12 team Keeper league we keep 2 players. We start 4 IDP's we just changed from team defense this year. We score defense 2pts per tackle; 1pt per half tackle; 3pts per sack; 5pts per interception; and 1pt for every 10 yds returned. I would like to know what position is favored most using this scoring. Who I should look for? And MOST IMPORTANTLY when should one start drafting IDP's since we technically start with round 3 with our 2 keepers each.

One question are you just to start 4 defensive players any position or is there a breakdown like 1DL, 2 LB or 1S.Assuming no break down and only 4 IDP spots...I would suggest that you only draft LB (primarily ILB) and SS. Not knowing anything else I would start in rounds 8-10.

I would say that ILB and SS are your best bets with the 2 points per tackle and 1 point for 1/2 tackle. CBs may also be quite valuable with 5 points per INT and 1 point for every 10 yards returned, look for CBs with ball hawking skills late in the draft.Using the VBD App...Defensive Backs#1: SS#2: FS (depending on player)#3: CB (depending on player)Linebackers#1: MLB/ILB#2: WLB#3: SLBHow many rounds is your draft? Ideally, I'd start taking defensive players when the first 5 defensive players go while also looking for offensive players that fall and provide value.

:goodposting: DL and non-SS DB's who do not return kicks are worthless in this league. Exception is John Henderson who is a tackling machine.

Using the VBD App...

Defensive Backs

#1: SS

#2: FS (depending on player)

#3: CB (depending on player)

Linebackers

#1: MLB/ILB

#2: WLB

#3: SLB

20 rounds in the draft

Seeing as how it's 20 rounds (and you essentially start from Round 3 yes?) I'd start drafting guys around Round 10-12. There should be some offensive guys falling in 7-9 when some IDPers go.
