IDP strategy (1 Viewer)

Our league scoring is 10 pts for ints, 2 for solo, 1 for assist and 5 for sacks. i get 4 starters- 1 or 2 of each DL, LB and DB.

i have been starting 1 dl, 2 lb, and 1 safety. but those 10 points for ints is starting to tempt me.

what starting combination do ya'll think will get me maximum points? i'm thinking about how to build my roster for next year.

I'd have to run the numbers, but at first glance it sounds like it'd be good to go with a free safety at the flex position.

how do i "run the numbers?" point me in the direction and i can do the work.
check the IDP reports for an MFL league, for example, using this scoring system, or use 2005 data and see what the numbers are.The issue with INTs are that they are sporadic.

I still would say a Top 10 LB scores the most.

Start with 2005 data: 2005

Now compute the Top 24 DL, LB and DB scores.

See what you get.

Unless you own 2 stud LB's (top 10-12) I'd go for the 10 point INT's and start 2 DB's.

For your DB's, I'd look for corners who are solid in run support & get picks. Dunta Robinson, Ronde Barber, etc.

Interestingly, the league slightly devalues sacks, since they are 2.5 times tackles, but rewards INT's at 5 times tackles.
