IDP's used in the return game? (1 Viewer)

Hey guys,

Are there any IDP that you would bump up a bit due to their part in their teams return game?

TDs in the return game are unpredictible of course, just looking to see where there's opportunity.

Terrence McGee is the obvious one. I am not positive of any others who start and also return kicks. I believe there are threads about this, so do a search not only here, but the shark pool.

Terrence Mcgee

Chris Carr

Justin Miller

have been in the top 5 of my IDP league counting 1 per 10 yards return

I think all 3 are returning kicks still

Here's the scoop imo:McGee is their top CB and will probably see a reduction in return duties because they don't want to risk losing their top CB.Carr doesn't have much responsibility on the field other than returns, so unless you're looking at just return yardage, skip over him.Miller - has been a little injured this preseason, but has not taken hold of the starting CB job even though the opportunity has been there - Dyson, Barrett, and now Revis seem to be edging Miller to the nickel CB role. Pretty tough year to target those supplemental return points. I don't see any layups.

Miller was never a fulltime defensive player to begin with. He didn't play much at all the later half of the season except for returning. But because of 1per 10 yards he was still a top 5 DB.

With Torrie Cox suspended 4 games, Phillip Buchanon has a chance to be born again as the nickel corner with Gruden appearing to take a liking to him and using a page from the Raiders playbook of reviving careers. He's should be returning punts. At worst, he's an interesting guy to keep an eye on this year.

If anything happens to Hester, Nathan Vasher probably steps in on kick-offs and possibly punts.

I've been hearing a lot about TEN DB Cortland Finnegan. According to Mike Herman (FBG staffer) he is the favorite to return for the Titans and according to recent reports is a solid bet as the nickle back as well as a possibility to start.

Keep an eye on Packers' CB Will Blackmon. He's got a sprained thumb at the moment, but he's in line to return both kicks and punts, and is also in the mix for the nickel back role.

Just had my draft and took Kerry Rhodes quite early and Bob Sanders quite late (start 2 DB and have little roster space for IDP on the bench). McGee went undrafted and with my league being 1pt for every return 20 yards I'm wondering whether to switch him for Sanders. My concern is his recent concussion and reduced return duties now that Clements has left the Bills.

I should also mention the other scoring settings - Solo Tackle=1, Sack=2, INT=3, Force Fumble=2, Pass Deflect=1

Thoughts?
