The leagues I have been in with IDP's I still emphasize offensive picks in the first 2 rounds as a general rule. Do others as well?
Depends on things such as number of IDP starters and scoring. They usually start getting drafted in the late first round in both my leagues. The leagues I have been in with IDP's I still emphasize offensive picks in the first 2 rounds as a general rule. Do others as well?
How is your league set up? That seems earlly to me but checking the last few years in mine someone goes D early in the 2nd like clockwork.Depends on things such as number of IDP starters and scoring. I just looked at my 14 team league where we start a full 11 man defense and on offense start 1/2/3/1/1. Last year, picks 13 and 14 were IDP's and there were 5 more in the 2nd round. In 2007, pick 12 was the top IDP and there were 6 taken in the 2nd round. In 2006, picks 8 and 9 were IDP's and there were 7 taken in the 2nd round. Not as early as I thought, but still in the 1st round. How is your league set up? Wow - that would seem to make alot of sense then. For me the set up is generally the same for the offensive side of the ball but I have never played with an 11 man D. For D it is more the 2/1/2 or 5 starters with at least 1 or 2 DL/LB/DB. In these leagues there is much more players available on the waiver wire that make an immediate impact than there are on the offensive side of the ball which is why I imagine those players (offense) are hit harder in the opening rounds.I just looked at my 14 team league where we start a full 11 man defense and on offense start 1/2/3/1/1.
