It’s difficult to call something an investigation when neither the known accuser nor known accused are interviewed by law enforcement. 

again .... we are better than ever at investigations and will continue to get better in the future

if there is an instance where a person reports a sexual assault and its not investigated - someone will pay for that failure in today's world and they should

few things are universal

we as a society are much better than we were 10 years ago even .... Kevin Spacey and Asia Argento 10 years ago would have been able to cover up ..... in 2018 they can't.

I have never argued that I recall that people who victimize men won’t get what they deserve now if caught.

its a change Henry Ford from what we've had in the past. ..... sexual assault on boys were overlooked for decades in the Catholic church, in the Sandusky case ..... we are progressing as a society and ALL people being assaulted are now being held accountable through investigations etc

I don't know what I would do if it were me, but if anyone did something to my 2 girls, they 100% will be castrated and a paraplegic.  I wouldn't kill them b/c I would want them to have to suffer for the rest of their lives.

Do you? I only saw a Congressional hearing with timed bits of questioning of Blasey Ford by a surrogate for Republican Senators who had to question her in short, timed bursts. I certainly don’t recall even that kind of questioning of Kavanaugh by a prosecutor, much less a “sex crimes investigator.”

WASHINGTON (AP) — Sen. Martha McSally, the first female fighter pilot to fly in combat, said Wednesday that she was raped in the Air Force by a superior officer.

The Arizona Republican, a 26-year military veteran, made the disclosure at a Senate hearing on the armed services’ efforts to prevent sexual assaults and improve the response when they occur.

McSally said she did not report being sexually assaulted because she did not trust the system, and she said she was ashamed and confused. McSally did not name the officer who she says raped her.

“I stayed silent for many years, but later in my career, as the military grappled with the scandals, and their wholly inadequate responses, I felt the need to let some people know I too was a survivor,” she said, choking up as she detailed what had happened to her. “I was horrified at how my attempt to share generally my experiences was handled. I almost separated from the Air Force at 18 years of service over my despair. Like many victims, I felt like the system was raping me all over again.”

McSally’s revelation comes not long after Sen. Joni Ernst, R-Iowa, detailed her own abuse and assault, and at a time of increased awareness over the problem of harassment and assault in the armed forces. Reports of sexual assaults across the military jumped nearly 10 percent in 2017 — a year that also saw an online nude-photo sharing scandal rock the Defense Department.

McSally said she shares in the disgust of the failures of the military system and many commanders who have failed to address the problems of sexual misconduct. She said the public must demand that higher-ranking officials be part of the solution.

I am not personally acquainted with a woman who served in our armed forces who does not say she was sexually assaulted while in service to our country.  It should be a source of unending shame in our society that this is how we treat the people who safeguard our freedom.
