If Andre Johnson plays this week, do you start him? (1 Viewer)

Two high powered players in two high powered offenses, and guys you drafted at the top of your draft. If they are cleared, do you play them?

Wayne has a groin injury. Those are always tricky, and manning can spread the ball around. Will wayne's snap count be lowered, making him a lesser play this week?

AJ had a chest/lung contusion and is wearing a special jacket to protect his chest. He is a physical WR who plays on another team that spreads the ball around. Will his snap count be lowered, or will he be more of a decoy this week?

I do not have wayne on any team but I do have AJ on one. That team is loaded at WR. This is not a WDIS, but frankly a question of "start your studs" after they get dinged up.

(The same could be said for a guy like Westbrook, but the truth is, even if westbrook played this week, I could not see starting him as he is sure to get hit 15 -17 times. WRs take far less punishment)

The Texans are being extra careful with Johnson's injury, so don't worry about the examination. He was back at practice Thursday and fully expects to play in Sunday's game against Buffalo. "I feel good," Johnson said. "Like I said, I wasn't in any pain, and I'm still not in any pain. My breathing is fine when I'm out there running. I'm ready to go get this scan to see if they see stuff. Hopefully, there's nothing bad when they look at the scan." Johnson will be wearing a padded extension to his shoulder pads to protect his chest.

In a week where several teams are on a BYE, I don't see how you CAN'T start either of these guys if they're cleared to play.

Especially in larger leagues. If I decided to sit AJ, I'd likely have to plug in a guy like Hartline or Amandola for him.

And that ain't happening.

^This. Unless you are blessed with a plethora of talented WRs.

I think I've said this here before... If AJ is playing, I would rather live with him putting up a goose egg, than deal with the sick feeling of sitting AJ and seeing him have a huge day.

agree here too Please see mine!!!!!!

You should start AJ even if Jesus was defending him

There are a few players that are in this category of never guess to start and AJ is one of them.

Behind AJ i have MSW, Rice, and Austin (thanks to early hunches, FBG, and a quick trigger finger) in a start 2 Wr/1flex PPR league so i feel like i can afford to wait a game, plus Buffalo D has been pretty solid against the pass, ranked 10th or so in the league last i checked.

I plan on sitting him.

Thinking about doing the same with Burleson ready to go. I'll probably chicken out last minute if i hear AJ is starting.
