If Droughns can't go this week.Who gets the carries in CLV? (1 Viewer)

I'm not a homer, but all indicators point to Harrison.

Browns rookie RB Jerome Harrison would reportedly be the favorite to start in Week 3 if Reuben Droughns (questionable, shoulder) can't play.

He would still likely split carries with Jason Wright and possibly rookie fullback Lawrence Vickers. Harrison is someone to watch but isn't worth using in fantasy leagues this week.

I read that too. But, last week Wright got the majority of carries. Anybody know if this situation has been updated at all?

I'm a homer, but this is still more a guess than anything else. If Droughns is out RBBC and if Droughns is back RBBC. Wright did nothing last week, but they were playing the Ravens, so he might get a second chance. The worry about Harrison is he's not built to be an every down back, so I wouldn't be suprised if Vickers got the ball some if Wright was benched. Harrison has shown magic in preseason and at some point Romeo has to peek up his sleeve. I think no matter if it's Wright or Vickers, Harrison sees alot of looks. If Droughns is back, it's not because he's healthy. Harrison and Vickers may both see more touches, but Wright will ride the pine. Wright is good at alot of things, but great at none. Romeo would use the specialists to releive RD, Vickers on short yardage and Harrison as a COP.

Do you mean RBBC for this week? Based on Crennel's quote about Droughns this week -- "He's a guy we need to survive," there's nothing to suggest Droughns is in any danger of losing his job or losing meaningful carries. He got his goal-line role back in Week 2 and scored so that was one question put to rest. I don't think Droughns is a special talent by any means but in my opinion he's clearly the Browns' best RB. Based on his comments this week it would appear Crennel feels the same way.

exactly! RBBC to preserve Droughns. He won't be healthy if he plays.
