Mike Mulligan, of The Chicago Sun-Times, reports Cincinnati Bengals RB Cedric Benson, formerly a first-round pick of the Chicago Bears, chimed in about how Bears rookie RB Matt Forte has done this year. "He is having a great year, but when I see the highlights, I see holes," Benson said to Cincinnati reporters. "I see them using him in the slot, something they didn't do with me. If I was there right now with the holes I see, I'd probably have 1,800 yards right now. I definitely would have 1,500 by now. I congratulate him on all of his success. He is taking advantage."

i didn't realize Cedric knew what a running lane looked like.

He's right that our offensive line is much better this year, but Forte is clearly the better runner.

Wow...Benson is probably the last person I would've guessed.

You need some confidence to succeed and he's not lacking in that department. If only he had the talent to match.

He was my guess before I opened the thread...just because he's an idiot who thinks he is better than he really is. One of those people who thinks it's everyone elses fault he isn't succeeding.

My guess was going to be "The Kansas Comet" Gale Sayers since Forte broke his CHI record for yards in a rookie season.

Yeeah it was definitely the fault of the o-line. It had nothing to do with the fact that Benson ran with no vision, patience or heart. ;)

he got debacled.-E. Smith

I was going to guess Rashaan Salaam, but I'm a sucker for guys with six A's in their name.

Benson has impressed me in Cincy, but that's because my expectations were so low. Shut up and hope you can keep collecting league minimum salaries, Ced.

Chicago's line is far from impressive, but they are playing better this season. On the other hand, over the past month, they have looked pretty bad, and Forte is working extremely hard for every yard.
