any homers have info on this?
Enquirer web site"We're going to play to win a football game. We're going to go ahead and end this thing the right way and keep this momentum we've had. Since the meltdown in San Diego and the lapses in Minnesota, we've played good football the last 6-7 weeks and want to continue playing that way."
Thanks. This is good info - one would infer that they will play their starters for a while at least.Well, as I'm typing this, the Pats are up by two TDs.
Still, Bengals coach, Marvin Lewis made this statement to the Cincinnati Enquirer.

exactlyA Cincy win earns them a shot at the Texans. Houston won in Cincy earlier this year, so they may not like that matchup.
Too bad. I don't blame the Bengals for staying healthy but I'd like to see a competitive game and wouldn't mind seeing the Texans get their shot.C. Benson is inactive. That tells me they are tanking this one.
Thats bogus, sure a guy could be out there trying to win... but doesn't mean the Coach is out to win.Every team always plays to win. Whomever is on the field for the Bengals will try their hardest, I'm sure.
Uhm...yeah....the Texans offense is extremelely dangerous and they blew away the Bengals in Cincy earlier this year. Schaub hadalmost 400 yards passing. No offense to the Jets, but I think the Bengals Defense can contain them much better than Houston's offense. If I were the Bengals I would MUCH rather play the Jets than the Texans.
From roto:Did I hear correctly that Benson is inactive?
Bengals declared RB Cedric Benson, QB Jordan Palmer, S Chris Crocker, FB Fui Vakapuna, TE J.P. Foschi, DE Robert Geathers, DT Domata Peko and C Jonathan Luigs inactive for Sunday Night Football against the Jets.Carson Palmer is active and is expected to start, but the Bengals are taking it easy and resting most of their impact players in Week 17.
