The NFL already got the tape..how much more in files and notes can there be for one quarter of play? They are asking for more info related to this disciplinary action which was only week1, no team would admit they done it before.

The NFL is looking at ALL files since the start of Belicheck's time with the Pats. So, thats quite a bit more info.

for God's sake man, let it go. Let the professionals do their job, expect the Pats to turn over their files, and just wait for some actual information. quit the speculation already and move on with your life. and if the Pats suck from now on, believe me all Pats fans will still be around to remind us all about it. its game day...enjoy the games already.

Please - I'm sure that they will neatly turn over all of their files in the "cheating" section of their library! Unless they had NFL security raid and take the tapes - the only thing they will get is home movies of Bellijerk stroking his .....ego!

Plus they are investigsting the Pats use of radio frequencies during Week 1... they were using 4, and supposedly 3 were "suspicious" (ESPN Countdown's phrasing not mine).

Which do you think the commish would come down harder on, tapes that prove previous cheating, or disobeying a second direct order in as many weeks?

I'm saying they will comply with the order and send them tapes that are not incriminating in the least - "that's all we have!" How is the NFL going to prove them wrong unless they get someone from the inside.

And if there is anything to suggest that they left off a tape (labeling, gaps, an email mention), that Goodell will crucify them.

 I admit I was all :pokey: with Pats fans early in the week. Now I am just tired of hearing about it.

Pats have already been fined/punished more than Tom Landry, Halas, and George Allen years ago.

The only reaction has been about last week's game. It's alot considerring they confiscated the camera in the first Q. Probably should be a hefty amount, make an issue of it and all. However, if they're going to fine them that amount per game they did this in(or whatever this speculation is) well then that's ridiculously excessive. I don't get the impression the average forum member has any idea how much "cheating" goes on.

Do you know Vince Lombardi used to have his players switch jerseys in practice to confuse spies? Or that Nick Saban bought the Pats audio last year to decipher Brady's audibles and play calls at the LOS?

Landry was caught in a hotel near Giants practice facility taking pictures and watching the Giants practice, taking notes and all. I do not excuse BB but there's a point here where these famous great coaches before him gotta be brought up for comparison re punishment and fines and all.

This whole deal is what they are doing during a game. Open practices are free to record which is why BB doesn't do them.

I have no idea, anymore. Do you have any idea how many people have inadvertently pointed fingers at the fans over this? That bugs me. I want "my" team to play just like you wants "yours". All I'm saying is enough already. "We" took our hit with the first round pick which in a round about way we gave up our best WR for. BB's pocketbook took a hit and Kraft's too, as a fan of the Pats I don't care about that. Hit their pocketbooks over and over but don't mess with me/us, I/we didn't cheat. The first was fine, matter of fact I'd have given that to the Texans or Browns if its really to make the league better. Those fans have had it rough and an extra first would sure help. But then stop messing with what I root for and hit BB's or Kraft's wallet.Meh you know what I mean

open practices that are free to record? how many of them are there? In the old days the game was different, not as complex with D alignments and switching/shifting players as much presnap. I believe seeing their practice was also to know what the alignments would be so I'm figuring they both came to similar results.

Enough already? You are still under investigation for cheating, the announcers are still talking about it, and it's still in the papers. You have Pats fans in here insisting it was a "rule misinterpretation" and "everybody does it". That's going to instill debate.

Any punishment against the team will affect the fans. Fans take these things personal. I don't see how you can separate them.

Like I said, keep hitting BB and Kraft's wallet.
What are your thoughts on how the Patriots' actions have hurt the fans of other teams? Do you consider that fair?
How have they?ET word better- How have they in a way that the 1st rounder didn't cover that "hurt"?
