If there was a Pro Bowl revote... (1 Viewer)

Would Tony Romo or Shawne Merriman get voted in?

Seeing how Romo has only played a half season of football, I think Jeff Garcia is more deserving of a Pro Bowl spot. Five games is as good as half a season.

Merriman's issues have come under fire as of late. I don't know if the players and coaches would rally around him now. Let Bart Scott or Keith Bulluck have his spot.

I'd give it to McNabb over Garcia.

Why? McNabb is obviously the better QB, but why would you give it to him instead of Garcia? Garcia's played as well as any QB in the league since he's been a starter and has led the newly rejuvenated Eagles to a better record than when McNabb was in there.

I know this wasn't addressed by the thread starter but how Barber got in over Westbrook is an embarrassment. An absolute joke that should be reversed.

Merriman?

Nothing has changed since they voted. Fans, coaches and the players that voted him were obviously aware of his suspension when they voted him in the first time.

The only person that has said anything recently was Jason Taylor who only said anything because he has an agenda.

I'm pretty sure Brady gets in over Rivers...unless everyone is smoking crack again.

The vote constitutes of players, fans and coaches that count for 1/3 each. Obviously the coaches and players must think very highly of Romo and Rivers.

Vick over Romo

Westbrook over Barber

Owens over Smith

ETA: Brady over Rivers

The fans vote. Most fans are idiots. The entire process and all professional all-star games are a friggin joke. Why anybody gets SO worked up over this is beyond me.

i really wont ever get too worked up about the Pro Bowl. Half the league gets selected or gets to actually go. People start turning it down left and right and then next thing you know they 9th best qb is playing at the end of the game.

Rivers deserves it for the season as a whole. If you'll notice, he got right back on track in the 2nd half of the Seattle game, so that may just have been a mini-slump.

Brady has been overthrowing guys all season. And don't blame the new WRs...he's been overthrowing Watson & Brown too. Many suspect the team is hiding some sort of injury, and that sounds plausible to me given his regression this year.

Suggesting VY is incorrect at this stage. I believe he will get his fair share of Pro Bowl berths in the years to come, but he doesn't deserve it this year. Now, if he were in the NFC, then you'd probably be right...

Speaking of NFC, I really wish McNabb was an option, but this injury will keep him out of the game. Garcia may actually be the right choice as QB #3 now, but he had an even smaller sample at the time of the voting and Romo was doing awesome...tough to fault the voters for that one.

Kerry Rhodes really should be on there. Lynch was strictly a reputation pick.

I would actually drop Gore for Westbrook. Barber has been fantastic as usual this year, he just doesn't get in the end zone because of Jacobs. No offense to Gore, as he has had a very good year, but he is a worse receiver than Westy/Tiki/SJax and fumbles more often.

Sorry, I agree that T.O. does not deserve a spot. He is not even the best WR on his own team anymore; TD catches matter much more in fantasy than IRL, and he leads the league in drops.

Mack Strong was another reputation pick. He simply cannot block anybody anymore. Don't know all the NFC fullbacks especially well, maybe Mike Karney?

NFC WRs are kinda weird. Colston and Roy Williams really belong there IMO.

The Vikings run D this year is one of the best in decades. As such, Pat Williams really should be in there. Maybe drop Jenkins, or Kevin Williams?

I'd give Pac-Man a spot as one of the AFC corners, probably over Mathis. He has been tremendous when not spitting on people in bars.

Bart Scott > Terrell Suggs.

Anyone > DeAngelo Hall.

That's about all I can think of...
