*IF* Vick gets some "time off" (1 Viewer)

I realize no one likes hypotheticals, but IF Vick gets suspended for any appreciable amount of time (4+ games) - what happens to the value of Jenkins, Horn and White? I realize it likely goes up, as Atlanta will be forced to play a more "traditional" offense - but by how much given the other Atlanta QBs?

I guess what I'm trying to say is where would you rank them given a Vick suspension? Does Jenkins crack the top 30 (becoming a viable WR2)? What about Horn? Is he then a WR3?

Thoughts?

I suspect they just feed the ball to the backfield more often than not. Backup QB's are nothing to be excited about in terms of fantasy prospects.

I don't see Vick being a very good option at QB in 2007 even if he plays every game. Not many QBs instantly become proficient at a new offensive system. For every Drew Brees, there's a Kerry Collins, Aaron Brooks etc. Under normal circumstances, it takes a QB at least a full season to fully understand a new offensive system.

New Offensive System + Iffy QB = Inconsistent Season

Its not like Vick improves given time in a new system, so I dont really think you should expect anything different.

Shhhhh...DJ Shockley.
He was horrible at UGA, and could only be worse in the NFL.
Not to hijack, but what makes you qualified to make a statement like this? Do you have any info to support this? He was only a starter for one year (2005) after sitting behind David Greene his first 3 years. Shockley only went on to lead Georgia to the SEC championship and an invite to the Sugar bowl against WVU. In 2005 he threw for 2500+ yards, 24 TD's and 5 INT's with 4 rushing TD's. That is very respectable in possibly the best conference in the NCAA (at that time).

He's basically a Vick clone except his arm may not be as strong. But he's probably more accurate.

Just sayin'.

My guess is that we might finally see a startable ATL WR if Vick gets suspended.
I think you better take a closer look at who their backup QB is.
Shhhhh...DJ Shockley.
I know he's very easy to overlook, but was there a reason why you left Joey Harrington out the mix?
I purposely did. I'm a Shockley owner so I'm just being optimistic. :D My thoughts are that Harrington has been given several ops and nobody seems to like what he brings to the table. That may change in Atlanta, but if he continues to be Joey Harrington, Shockley might, just maybe, get an opportunity.

I doubt they gave Harrington a $2.7 million signing bonus to be a third QB, so you may need to wait on Shockley.

with Harrington at the helm?

At your most optimistic, leave them where they are now.
I think any drop back passer other than Harrington will upgrade the Falcon WRs.
Fixed. Ask Chambers and McMichael how they feel Harrington upgrades over a mobile QB..........
Lets see, in 74 career games Vick has 71 TD passes, 11,500 yards passing. In 69 career games Harrington has 72 TD passes, 12,500 yards passing.

You are probably right, Harrington only has a slight edge over Vick in TD passes and yardage, so keep the WRs just where they are at.
