Well, I took FWP with the 6th pick in my main league, but I could have gotten Addai and I wonder now if he'll have

a LOT more td's by week 13 than Parker.

Would you make the same pick today--hindsight after three games---that you did before the season began? discuss.

I probably would have taken Addai over FWP, but I don't think you could/should second guess. He's hit 100 every game and is very clearly not in a RBBC, TDs haven't come but they will. I took LT and am 2-1 in both leagues, leading one in points while waiting for LT to wake up. I would prefer better output from him but I don't regret it obviously. No other choice there.

ditto here. It's just too bad the influence that Norv is apparently having on their offense...

Still would've taken Henry at 1.12. Turned around and drafted Harrison with the next pick. Wanted a "safe" option at WR1. In hindsight, maybe should've taken Smith or TO, but oh well.

Looking back, Im sure alot of people would like Addai in the 1st, Steve Smith in the 2nd, Tom Brady in the 3rd, and Randy Moss in the 4th. And maybe Adrian Peterson somewhere in that mix in the 4th or 5th with Moss. But the Brady to Moss combo would absolultely be lights out this season.

The silver lining is that RBs in Norv's offenses traditionally put up huge numbers. I'm not sure what's going on in SD, but the production for LT will happen.

Took:

LJ at 1.05

SA at 1.05

LJ at 1.03

Addai was on the board for all of them. The only regret I have is not taking Addai in my last draft because I almost did it(wanted a variety of 1st rounders). I froze up and went with the masses instead of thinking for myself. I'm 0-2 in that league, about to be 0-3.

I took LJ at #3 in a 14 team league. Instead of LJ.. I wish I would have taken.

1.Addai

2. Alexander

3. Gore

4. Parker

5. Barber III

6. Henry

7. Moss

8. TJ House

9. Chad Johnson

10. Steve Smith

11. Carson Palmer

12. john Kitna

13. Sammy Morris

14. Meshawn Lynch

15. Adrian Peterson

16. Onterio Smith

17. Ricky Williams

18. Barry Sanders

19 OJ Simpson

20. Jim Brown

1.03 - C. Portis (I decided to keep him in a highly competitive league where pretty much every starting #1 RB is already owned by someone)

2.10 - C. Palmer

3.03 - J. Walker

4.10 - L. Jordan

5.03 - H. Ward

I'm currently 3-0, although I could easily be 3-3 after the next 3 weeks with each of these players having their bye week in that 3 week span.

I had the choice between Parker and Westbrook and went with Parker.

Leading into the week, I was glad I didn't take Westy and have to deal with the weekly injury reports.

However, on Sunday, yeah.

I waffled back and forth between Henry and Maroney at pick 1.12. Had I taken Henry, Id be 3-0 instead of 0-3.

:bye: Yes...grabbing Brady in the 4th and Moss in the 5th was questioned by some during my draft but now I'm just sitting back enjoying football.

You could probably include Barber in the 4th or 5th as a pick a lot of people wish they would have made.To respond to the OP, I took FWP at 1.08 - still would today. In another league, I took FWP at 1.05 - still would today (Addai was off the board).

FWP was a solid pick and so was Addai. Those two picks will only help you. If you took one over the other, don't sweat it. Be happy you didn't take S. Alexander, Maroney, r. bush or rudi johnson in there places.

There are people who wish they wouldn't have taken L. Johnson over those 2 guys and some who probably would give up Lt2 for one of them.

My biggest mistake was also taking Lee Evans in 2 leagues. He's been a waste so far. Also I got M. Drew Jones in one of those.........YUK.

My biggest strength is targeting either Romo or Kitna in every league I'm in.

Last year Lee Evans killed me whenever I went up against him. This year I snagged him in the third or fourth round - and now he is killing me again! :goodposting:

Sitting there in the first round, at 1.08, in a ten team league, I was debating between Westy and FWP, I decided to go with Westy. I then had the 2.10, and 3.1. Here I went with MJD :X , and E. James. At 3.2 FWP went  :jawdrop:  . How I missed it, how I completely just muffed that pick Ill never know, but oh well, Ill keep trucking with James and Westy and hopefully it will take me somewhere.

Alexander has less than 4 pts less than FWP, including week 3. :jawdrop: If you had FWP/SA to choose from (I had Addai as 3 or 4) I don't see how you can be upset with either of them. At this point you may not have the highest scoring of the 2 but there's no hindsight that should make you regret taking SA at that point. And certainly not to lump him in with those other guys.

Round / Selection / Who I would have selected

1 / FWP / FWP

2 / Travis Henry / Travis Henry

3 / TO / TO

4 / Roy Williams / Randy Moss

I took Maroney at 1.11 in a 16 team dynasty league. At this point I would have rather taken Lamont Jordan, Jamal Lewis, or MBIII!

Thanks for the comments on this thread...

It's interesting--this is less a rant on using that perfect 20/20 hindsight...and more a reflection on the top picks usually being sure bets, and this year seeing that theory get torched--at least through week 3.

But yeah---it's early still, and when the stock goes low on a stud, that's usually the time to hang on, cross your fingers and try to weather it.

In one league, I took FWP at #7. I'd take him again too. Only backs I'd take ahead of him now were gone by then. Can't be upset with the guy who leads the league in rushing though.

In another league, I took SJax at #2. Not as panicked as some, but I'd probably take Addai or Westbrook over him (it's PPR).

I took Chad Johnson at #12 and Fitz on the return in a redraft and wish I would have taken Brady or Palmer. Good news is I went WR/WR and thanks to ADP, Chad, Witten and the Vikings D, Ive managed a 2-1 record and am a top scorer in the league.

Took Maroney at 1.1. I really wanted Henry, but he went 1.09. I wish I'd have taken...don't really know...Portis. I got Edge at 4.02. I played that like a fiddle.

12 team redraft ($$ league): took SA at 1.07 (draft went LT, SJax, LJ, Gore, Peyton, Addai before my 1st pick). I wish I would've gone w/ FWP...SA really does not look explosive, & his broken wrist worries me--I can see him being pulled late in some games, and maybe even rotated out a bit more going forward, especially if ball handling becomes a problem for him.

I took Steven Jackson at #2. I considered Addai and Alexander, but had to get the guy that scored 51 against me in the championship game the year before. I'd probably want Addai now.
