Biggest changes since I actually had my rookie draft:Greg Jennings is now the clear #1 WRDemeco Ryans is now the clear #1 LBLuckily I got both in the 2nd round of mine a couple months ago.
I have done 4 rookie drafts in the past 4 weeks and he was drafted in the first round in all 4Norwood moves into the first round.
this rookie class ended up having some good RB PotentialI'd have to say Michael Robinson moves up some as well. In most cases he was probably a late rounder to undrafted. Now I say he's a 2nd rounder (non-IDP).
I drafted Robinson as the last pick in the 3rd round (3.12, non-IDP) just based on his situation and his supposed potential. I like what I've seen so far in the pre-season. He may not have much of an impact this year (unless Gore gets hurt) but I think he'll slowly become more involved in the offense (as a 3rd down back) as the season progresses and I definitely think he'll be worth something fantasy wise next year and beyond.this rookie class ended up having some good RB PotentialI'd have to say Michael Robinson moves up some as well. Why tubby over a guy who has actually shown something in the preseason?I wouldn't change a whole lot based on the past two months. Preseason performance counts, but it's important not to get carried away with early returns. Chad Johnson was a complete flop after his rookie season. Justin Fargas looked like a star during his rookie preseason. You see where I'm going with this?
That said, you should definitely bump some guys up. I still rank Jennings behind Jackson, but he's now in contention with Hagan and Holmes for the #2 WR spot. I'd probably take him over Hagan now and I'd definitely take him over Holmes.
I'm still not buying the Mike Bell hype at all. If I took him in the top 15, it would be with the intention of trading him. I don't think he'll last as an NFL starter.
I'm a little bit higher on Lundy for dynasty purposes, but I still wouldn't take him over the elite QBs, WRs, and TEs. He probably belongs in the 10-16 range.
Bush is still my clear #1. Maroney is my clear #2. It's closer after that, but White is probably my #3 with Williams trailing. I never liked Addai and still don't. I wouldn't bother with him.
Marcedes Lewis and Derek Hagan remain nice values. Tarvaris Jackson is also a quality pick. For that matter, all of the top 5 rookie QBs have looked pretty good so far. Leinart is my clear #1. He's the most prepared and he's in the best situation.
Brad Smith, Bruce Gradkowski, and Willie Reid are solid sleepers.
Jerious Norwood and Jerome Harrison move up, but they still have a long way to go before they prove that they can be featured backs. I always felt that these two had talent, but I never felt that either had the right make-up to be a lock for RB1 status in the NFL. I would take a chance on them in the same range that I'd gamble on Lundy.
Anyhow, there are a few things you learn after playing dynasty for a while. One is that any RB with a remotely high draft profile will be overdrafted if he shows any kind of potential during his rookie season. Remember Lee Suggs, Onterrio Smith, Chris Brown, William Green, and Justin Fargas? There are more of those than there are guys like Portis and Tomlinson. Don't get carried away with these rookies yet. Most of them will ultimately disappoint if you're expecting a superstar.
I've favored White over Williams for a while. Neither has stood out this preseason. Williams had that nice return, but has otherwise been quiet. Why tubby over a guy who has actually shown something in the preseason?I wouldn't change a whole lot based on the past two months. I took him with the 15th overall pick and that was a week after the NFL draft.I have done 4 rookie drafts in the past 4 weeks and he was drafted in the first round in all 4Norwood moves into the first round.
I took Norwood at 1.11 in May!I have done 4 rookie drafts in the past 4 weeks and he was drafted in the first round in all 4Norwood moves into the first round.
