Reaallyy? C'mon. JAX can't be serious. They will be out shopping for a hired gun.Who's available or better yet, who's expendable for a trade?Ernest Wilford, Matt Jones, Reggie Williams, Cortez Hankton (RFA), Felton Huggins
All 3 have the ability to be good... Jones showed flashes of greatness and Wilford has been starting to show he is going to be a dependable clutch WR for Leftwitch....Reggie could , maybe should , be better than both of them but his development has been horrible...but I think he will come around.Just my gut reaction:
Jones will be the stretch the field guy.
Wilford will be the red zone jump ball guy.
Williams will be the 7 yard slant on 3rd and 5 guy.
Haha, yea the locals love to rag on him about that. And it has been true more than once. He also has been guilty of not fighting off the hands of much smaller and weaker DB when the ball is in the air. He seems to allow them to grab his arm and just try to stab the ball out of the air with one hand. He needs to learn to jerk that other arm away and go after the ball. But I relate that to the intensity issue. To use an old expression, he needs to learn to play with his hair on fire. The other knock on Jones has been his occasional reaction to try to catch the ball one-handed.
Agreed, but I'll give this guy a pass for now, on the nuances of a position he had never played before. He did exceptionally well given that, better than I expected.Jones/Wilford - probably pretty equal for this year, but in the long run, Jones is the #1 WR.Haha, yea the locals love to rag on him about that. that's what Other is forYou left out an option, NONE OF THE ABOVE.

For this year, I absolutely agree with this. 200/3 one week, 20/0 the next.My guess is Jones will put up pretty decent numbers but they'll come in bunches and he won't be consistent. While the kid has serious skills I'm not sold that he can be a week in and week out stud. He's capable of blowing up any weekend but I see a fair share of disappearing acts as well.
Wilford - he has one more year of experience and has made clutch catches in the past. I think he has the most chemistry with Leftwich and will be his go-to guy.

Because he hasn't even caught a pass in the NFL yet.Not enough people are talking about M.Lewis.
Nor has V.Davis yet people can't seem to stop talking about him. Hell most are already saying he will lead SF in rec.Because he hasn't even caught a pass in the NFL yet.Not enough people are talking about M.Lewis.
...and he's a tight end. Now if jax didn't have any good wrs ala' atlanta I could see him being in the debate for being the team's top wr.Because he hasn't even caught a pass in the NFL yet.Not enough people are talking about M.Lewis.
I'm not saying he will be the top WR. Only that he could easily look to steal a lot of targets/rec from the WRs....and he's a tight end. Top TE coming out going to a team with no real recieving threat = many targets. Not hard to see the difference.Nor has V.Davis yet people can't seem to stop talking about him. Hell most are already saying he will lead SF in rec.Because he hasn't even caught a pass in the NFL yet.Not enough people are talking about M.Lewis.
In what way does Jack have a more proven rec threat than SF now? If yo uask me, SF has the best, most proven of the 2 in Bryant. Not only that, but Lewis and Davis were neck and neck for TE1 all season and Lewis actually out produced him. What does any of this have to do with the fact that Bryant, unlike any of the guys on Jack right now, has shown he CAN be a WR1 and outproduced all of them last year?Bryant, 69/1009/4 as WR1 in ClevLuckily for me I happen to have both bryant and wilford on my dynasty teamIn what way does Jack have a more proven rec threat than SF now? Bryant is 6'2 188lbs
Wilford is 6'4 223lbs
Jones is 6'6 242lbs
Bryant runs a 4.56/40 and is on the same team with vernon davis who runs a 4.38/40
Wilford runs a 4.58/40 and jones runs a sub 4.4/40 and they're on the same team with marcedes lewis who runs a 4.84/40
So Bryant is shorter and smaller than all three wrs and is slower than matt jones and virtually as slow as wilford. In addition the jax wr's are in a better situation since they're both faster than their te while bryant isn't nearly as fast as davis. Not to mention the fact that Lefty is a much better qb than either alex smith of trent dilfer

I agree, the group in Jack has more potential. With Bryant though at least we know they have a guy who can moderatly handle the WR1 role. There is no such confidence in Jack right now. It's a fairly accurate statement, but I'd sure take the JAX WRs on potential over SF's.
so I guess we're suppose to ignore the fact that bryant was in his 4th year while wilford was in his 2nd and jones was a rookie. I mean it's not like they'll improve or anything, right? As far as bryant showing he can be a #1 wr, I guess beating out studs like a rookie wr and dennis northcutt is quite an accomplishment. What does any of this have to do with the fact that Bryant, unlike any of the guys on Jack right now, has shown he CAN be a WR1 and outproduced all of them last year?
