I'm a think outside the Fantasy Box type of player. I loved my team after the draft, and I felt like it would be around week 9 that I would hit my stride and take off.. So Plan A hasn't really worked out as I am 5-4 and Doug Martin, Winston, Martavis Bryant and Derrick Henry are far from the world beaters I thought they'd be. Now, I could sit tight and let this thing play out, but that same attitude got me nowhere last year and I'm 1-4 over my last 5 this year. So i'm going to take a little risk and at the same time add some insurance.

I'm moving Gurley, Fitz and Doug Martin and my 10th round pick  for Jordan Howard, D. Walker, and Corey Davis and his 4th round pick.. i'm in a 12 team standard keeper league, 1qb,2rb,2wr,1 flex,1,DST and a K, ... 3 Players can be kept a max of 3 seasons (no one drafted in the first two rounds may be kept).  Howard can be kept in 2018 as a 12th round pick, and Davis can be kept as a 13th round pick. Gurley,Fitz, and Martin either have no value or can not be kept. If I have value in more than 3 guys in 2018 I can trade any of them for draft picks before the draft to teams with less than 3 keepers.

I'm a Gurley fan.. I'm not much of a Howard believer, even though I was the one who drafted him in our league in 2016, only to drop him a couple days later. I am a big Davis believer and I do believe he will have some monster games over the next 3 years, but there will be some up and down in 2017.

I am doing the trade, so you can save the DON'T DO IT stuff, and also I get the whole win now and worry about next year stuff also.

What I'd like to hear from you about is mainly ranking the possible keepers I do have in the order you would want them on your team. This helps me take my "falling in love goggles" off so I can better understand who my trading partner would be drawn to more... If i'm able to win this week, I will have the best shot of landing a Vet player like Gronk or Juilo (which are close to being on the trade block) because the other great keepers have been dealt to losing record teams already.. I personally think my best keepers would be in this order: Mack, Davis, Henry (I think he takes over as lead back in 18, murray will not have his contract renewed), Howard, Mckinnon (nfl free agent in 18) westbrook then Ryan.

Thanks in advance, and here is my roster with Keeper values:

QB- Winston (dropping him), Ryan (10th rd. in 2018)

RB- Howard (12th rd. 2018), Mckinnon (9th in '18 & '19), D. Henry (4th in '18 & '19), Mack (12th rd. in '18 & '19) .

WR- Cooks (no keep), C. Davis (13th rd 18 & 19), D. Parker (wont keep), D. Westbrook (9th in '18 & '19)

TE- ASJ (dropping), D. Walker

dst- Eagles and Steelers . I will hold both and play the matchups

Why won't you keep Parker?  What is the round to keep him?

As far as your question about ranking them in order I would do the following:

  1. Howard - a low end RB1 in the 12th round is tough to pass up
  2. Corey Davis - should be a target monster and only needs to stay healthy.  Great value in 13th round
  3. Parker - don't know the round but I would have him over the other guys on your list unless his cost is way too high of a round.
  4. Henry - only if he is the starter next year.  Murray is still under contract for a couple years and it appears the Titans like to split carries to hopefully improve the longevity of both backs.  Can't blame them but it really screws up their fantasy value.
  5. McKinnon - have no idea where he goes next year so he may not even be worth keeping.  He is having  a solid year but landing spot will be a big decider on whether or not he is worth keeping.
  6. Mack - don't know true value until you see the off season shake out.  Seems to be explosive but is really lacking on pass protection so who knows if they will trust him enough to be the #1 if Luck is back behind center.

I don't really think the other guys are worth keeping in a 3 keeper league.

thanks for taking the time to answer.. I would agree with those rankings, but parker would be a 4th round keeper, so no need to keep him there..

I am a win now player, but in years where things arn't working out i like to keep an eye out for next year.

This basically confirms my thoughts in that I think trying to trade Mack for a 2017 need is the route I will go next week.

While Murray is technically under contract through the 2019 season, the Titans can cut him at no cost next offseason instead of paying him his $6.5 million 2018 salary. IF they did that, I would think Henry would be a first rounder, IF he shows what he can do with 16+ carries over the next half of the season.. but those are some IFs

Based on your team and rankings I'd hang onto Mack and go full bore into 2018 rebuild mode and trade McKinnon, Cooks and Parker.  I'd target Kamara, Dalvin Cook, Mahomes, Watson, JuJu and Jonnu Smith as targets.

our trade deadline is Thanksgiving day, so i'll wait and see how things go in the W/L column before trading away Cooks or Mckinnon. Also Kamara was already acquired, Watson is already on a 1-8 team, same for Juju.. Dalvin was drafted in our second round, so he goes back in the pool.. Mahomes is going to be a freaking stud, but I won't have room for him as a keeper.

Thanks for the reply.
