I always felt playing bass guitar would be an awesome gig. Plucking a few strings, leaves plenty of time to point out which girls the roadies should escort back stage. Who wants to burn 8000 calories playing the drums, or lose their voice from screaming death metal every show.

Oh, I believe you. I was actually curious with the bow hold. I started playing the double about a month ago at the behest of my violin teacher wife. She wanted a bass player in her recitals but doesn't teach it. I am going to do that tonight and attempt to not embarrass myself.French. I've actually been playing for ~25 years (didn't even realize it's been that long until just now). The bass is great from the standpoint that there simply aren't that many players compared to other instruments and you can almost always find a job to play if that's something you're interested in. I've got my music for the may recital, but I've also got a 2 week old kid, so my practice time has been spent changing diapers and being a gofer for my wife.
