I'm benching Thomas Jones for... (1 Viewer)

Kevin Smith. He has a rough matchup as well, but I have a feeling Thomas Jones is gonna get stuffed for one of those 15 carry 37 yard outings. Who is Jones riding the pine for on your team this week?

 
Right now, I've plugged TJ into my starting lineup. I may substitute Pierre Thomas, depending on Bush and McAllister situations. I doubt I'll do it, however. Tenn's rush D is good but not great, and I can see a TD and 70-90 yds.

What backs have had big days vs. Tenn D?
 
I played Mewelde Moore instead of T Jones.

I was seating bullets last night til FWP pulled up gimpy.

I think I did OK.

So even the people who drafted TJ want to find reasons not to believe in him? I'm starting him.

If Reggie comes back and looks great, maybe I go to him in the playoffs. But not now.

 
I have Turner as my RB1 and have to choose between TJ and Chris Johnson. Personally, I'm leaning TJ. I don't really expect much out of either one, but I think TJ has better odds of finding the endzone since LenDale vultures a lot from CJ. I saw in FBGs latest cheatsheet that they have CJ higher, which I found odd. I'd love to know why that is.

Those are all against TEN this year?? I better get TJones back in if that's true. I thought they were much tougher than that.
 
starting ADP @Jax and Turner vs Car this wk............TJ on the bench (has the worst matchup on paper)

(and had TJ on the bench last week and lost a very close game that I w/h won if I started him. was just too tough to bench ADP)

 
I'm going to compound my mistake, as I'm not content with just one. Benched him (essentially) for FWP. After that poo, I'm plugging him back in for Berrian or Breaston (was bouncing back and forth).

talk about misleading stats. last time i checked, teams dont start combos of rbs, or combos of rb/qb. slaton had the only really big individual performance, and AP i guess, but with no disrespect to jones...he's no AP. now why dont you break those down by the games in tennessee.

OK just for you I highlighted the Tenn home games ... Since road games don't count this year.Worst to Best home games against Tenn

Grant - 86 Yards

Rhodes - 70 Rush 39 yds Rec (109 Total)

Slaton - 116 1 TD

Peterson - 80 2 TDs Rush 21 yds Rec (101 Total)

Jones may be no AP but statistically he is having as good a year (arguably better) than AP

In one league, I have:

Thomas Jones

Addai

Jones-Drew

Slaton

LJ

S Morris

I have been starting Slaton & MJD a lot, but have also used Jones & Addai depending on the matchups.

(I just picked up LJ when the owner dropped him while he was suspended)

In another league (touchdown only, but longer distance TD's get a big bonus, I have:

A Peterson

Chris Johnson

M Lynch

T Jones

Ray Rice

I have been mostly going with Peterson & either Johnson or Lynch. Johnson is always a threat to take it to the house, so I hate to bench him. Jones rides the pine in this league.

my team is 11-0 in a 12 team 1-2-2-1-flex ppr league. I am really just stuck on who to bench. I know its a great problem to have but the team I play this week is the only team tthat could give me fits in the playoffs and He has not locked up a playoff birth just yet. So I really want to win this one.

Anyhow I had pretty much decided to bench Jones, until reading this thread. Here's what I'm rolling with...

Start: Gore, Forte, Calvin Johnson, Roddy White, Dwayne Bowe.

Bench T. Jones, Reggie Bush, Lee Evens, Donnie Avery
