I own Witten in two leagues. In both of them I'm benching his sorry ### for Shiancoe. Guaranteed that Witten will hit paydirt twice this week. Oh, and I'm benching Jennings as well. Get him into your starting rosters...
I will start Witten over Vernon Davis with confidence now! BTW, in a league in which I don't even own Witten, I will now be benching Shiancoe as well thanks to your thread! Thanks for taking the hit for the rest of us GB!I own Witten in two leagues. Thank you! I dont' have any alternatives and need him to come through w/a decent week.Fingers crossed that Austin starts opening things up for Witten... I've read a few posts here and there that Witten looks slow and overweight--running with a piano on his back was one quote... and they wondered if he was battling an injury of some type... Lots of Dallas fans here---anyone who watches their games seeing this?I own Witten in two leagues. In both of them I'm benching his sorry ### for Shiancoe. No, he's fine. Defenses have been keying on him. Now they better pay attention to Austin...which will open it up for Witten. I wouldn't bench him Fanatic...but that's up to you!Thank you! OK, what is all this logic and sound reasoning doing in my totally nonsensical thread? Now I'm rethinking benching. Crap....No, he's fine. Defenses have been keying on him. You're killing me here. If I put him back in the lineup then it will ruin a great game for the rest of the fantasy world...IMO the Seattle running defense is much better than the stats might indicate. I bet Seattle will likely stop the run well today leading to a big day for Romo. The NFL is about matchups and a mix of give & take. I think they sell out to stop the Dallas RBs and put the game in the hands of Romo.Another thought, LB Lofa Tatupu is great dropping back in coverage. He's a complete package for middle linebacker. How will his replacement David Hawthorne do? I expect him to make a lot of tackles (like he did in his other start this year), but struggle helping in pass coverage. There will likely be some big holes in the middle of the field in Seattle's zone coverages. That sounds like a good setup for a TE that finds holes in zones to sit in.
Sorry, bro. Just giving you things to consider.Final thought.... The Seattle defense vs. the Dallas offense won't decide this game IMO. I think the Dallas defense just kills the Seattle offense. LB Demarcus Ware gets to eat up a 4th string left tackle. That sounds like complete destruction in the worst possible way. Seattle won't be able to run the ball well which will set up those obvious passing situations. Hence, Ware just kills today leading to some costly turnovers. I'm just hoping to see a close game and not watch my Seahawks get embarrassed.OK, what is all this logic and sound reasoning doing in my totally nonsensical thread? Now I'm rethinking benching.
