I'm obviously not an Atlanta Falcons fan... (1 Viewer)

Raider Nation

Devil's Advocate
This man, by all accounts, is the most loyal person in the world to the people closest to him. He gives multiple millions of dollars to charity every year. Just an all around nice guy. After being completely betrayed by Petrino and Vick, he deserves this. Congrats to the Falcons and their fans! Great season.

Have to agree. It's easy to be jealous of a billionaire, but this guy seems to be handling this in the best possible way. We'd sure love to have him as the owner here in Cincinnati.

Blank has been classy through the whole Vick and Petrino thing and love that the team has turned it around. For the team to take Ryan (when alot of people thought it was a bad idea) and completely move on from Vick was a great thing.

Good for the Falcons and A.Blank.

:bag:

Well, I am a Falcons fan, and have always loved Blank. When he first showed up I thought he was going to be a little too hands on, but I think that's just because he cared so much. He's learned to step back and let the folks he hires do their job.

As a quick aside, I've never met him but was out at a PGA event here in Atlanta and got to observe him from a close distant. No cameras around, no reporters, just a few patrons watching and he was as nice as could be. You never know for sure, but he seems like the genuine article both as an owner but also as a human being.

Time to go celebrate!

I posted before that if the Steelers' plane happened to veer off course and crash into the sun, I'd be hopping on the Falcons' bandwagon. I really enjoy watching this team play this year.

I've met a ton of fans the last few months of other teams that have seen me wearing a Falcon hat, jacket, etc and had kind words and wished the team well after last year. Thanks to all those fans and posters in here for the karma/thoughts as it seems the Falcons have gotten and rode on them all year.

Me, too; Ryan was so impressive that I went out and got him in Week 2; in watching every game since, I've been converted into a fan. I was completely indifferent towards them, but now I find myself enjoying their players, effort, and ownership much more than I thought I would. Way to go, Falcons. I'll be pulling for you in the playoffs. At 37, I really thought the days of finding a player and having him turn me into a fan of his club were beyond me.
