I'm starting Jerome Harrison over __________!? (1 Viewer)

Well, it's gonna be over either brandon "the sloth" jacobs or knowshon moreno. Of course, setting myself up to really hate dislike mangini for life. But it's for the title....so don't want to go down playing it safe. Anyway, based on the early fbg offensive projections...looks to be a no-brainer!??

What say you?

Might as well use history to gauge the future(never works) but in 2000 Corey Dillon rushed for 278 yds and 2 TDs against the Denver Broncos and the next week...you want to know?

The next week he rushed for 137 yds and a TD on the road at Cleveland.

In 2003 Jamal Lewis ran for 295 yds and 2 TDs against Cleveland of course, the next week he ran for 132 yds and a TD. Later that season he ran for 205 and 2 TDs, the next week he produced 114 and a TD as he ran for over 2,000 yds that season.

A lot of posters feel Harrison has been undiscovered gold for a long time and some Dynasty Owners have been holding him for a long long time. What will he do this week? I don't think 100 and a TD is too much for them as they face Oakland at home IIRC. The Radiers won a game they should not have last week, now they take to the road again...I can see where they could come out and just lay an egg.

I'd say that Quinn out concerns me but I don't think he threw for more than 100 yds in back to back weeks...I'd have to check that stat but I think its true, never herd of such a thing. But he has had the Browns playing better, not sure what Derek Anderson is thinking about at this point.

Tough choices for me.....SJax, Charles, Harrison, DWill and Beanie. I've got to choose 2. I benched SJax last week for Beanie and went with Charles for the other. SJax and DeAngelo are dinged, and I'm not sure I trust Mangini in a championship game. I'm liable to go with Charles and Beanie.

Got him in over Ricky right now, but I reserve the right to swap the two of them in and out of my lineup as much as 65 times between now and Sunday at 1300 hours.

I having to choose between LT, R. Williams, and J. Harrison (pick 2). Right now it's Ricky/LT.............but Harrison is seriously be considered over LT.

Beanie Wells.
I am in the same situation at RB2. You have to like Wells vs. Rams as well. Interested to know what made you start Harrison over Wells. My other RB is ADP.
I'm in the same boat as you, but I think I'm sticking with Beanie. It really came down to who the Cleveland QB was going to be this week. Not that Quinn is good, but he's a lot better than Anderson. And since Anderson is starting, I imagine there'll be 11 in the box to stop Harrison.Hell, I'd probably just leave their WRs wide open and blitz the corners and safeties every play and see if Anderson can actually complete a pass.

Thinking about starting Harrison over Charles!! Harrison has the easier match-up, is at home, and Charles will run into a tough run D. Although, I'm chasing points and trying to figure out Mangini. Could be a game-time decision.

Starting Harrison over Justin Fosett or Michael Bush. Pairing with CJ, so it should be okay.

I have LT, Mendenhall, Turner and Harrison. Can only start 2. Im starting Harrison over Mendenhall and Turner.

Looks like he will likely get the nod from me over DeAngelo.

So my 2 starting RB's in the playoff semis will be Jamaal Charles and Jerome Harrison.

Tell me who would have predicted that before the season . . .

i think im gonna put him in over benson or sjax.

sjax worries me too much, either he gets dinged early and sits out as a precaution of the rams just get blasted early and hes a non factor.

benson hasn't done anything overly impressive the last few weeks, and with the bengals being back in kc i think we might see more carries from LJ.

if a gun were pointed at my head right now id roll him out over benson....i think.

I'm starting him over Charles this week because of the easier match-up, and Charles will run into a tough run D.

Right now I have him in over Mendenhall, Charles, Crabtree and Sims-Walker for my flex. I worry he's a one hit wonder, but its hard to argue against a featured back vs Oakland. Though, I may go back to Mendy if his hip contusion turns out to be no big deal. Don't like him vs Baltimore, but he was still able to score vs Green Bay and put up some decent total yards.

Technically speaking, I'm starting him over AD. But that's just because I put him in as RB1, Grant is RB2, and AD is my flex man. Hehe.

For real, Forsett, Derrick Mason, Jason Snelling (with another amazing matchup), Jerricho Cotchery, Chester Taylor.

So Mason and Snelling and Forsett.

As an owner who jumped on the Quinton Ganther bandwagon last week and lost because of it, I have a feeling there are going to be some sad Harrison owners Sunday. Good luck with that.

A buddy of mine just mentioned that Harrison's biggest problem is picking up the rush. That if Cleveland is playing from behind he might not be in there that much as they'll likely be passing and using Jennings possibly as he blocks better. Who knows. Anyone have any insight on this?

Wow, you are so brave.
Well to put it into context a little, my other two RBs are Chris Johnson and Pierre Thomas, and my two other WRs are Desean Jackson and Welker. Plus our championship lasts two weeks instead of just this one. I figure I'll try to run the hot hand right now against a very poor run D, and then I can reevaluate next week.I also just can't trust MSW or Crabtree yet as consistent. Harrison may get 30+ touches this game and should put up decent numbers on volume alone. I may still put in Mendenhal, but it really depends on his health. And even then I may go with Harrison. Will Harrison put up 286 and 3 scores again? Probably not, but Oakland is not capable of shutting him down completely if he gets 30+ attempts. They've given up 20 rushing touchdowns, the most in the league.

I'm starting three out of MJD, Ricky, Jamal Charles and Harrison. Frankly, I don't know what I'm going to do. Currently, I've got MJD, Ricky and Harrison going.

My opponent is playing him over some very solid options in the Champion game and I'll tell you I'm a little relieved. Sure, he can go off but he's been pretty inconsistent this season and it's very possible that they go down very early and are forced to throw. He's projected pretty high, but I like the gamble facing him.

They play Oakland. How is it "very" possible that they'll get down very early? Not being sarcastic; I have this decision to make.

I'm going to bench Harrison. I'm going with Ricky/LT. I've got a gut feeling that with possible snow/wind in CLE (and Anderson now in at QB), the Raiders will focus on stopping the run and dare Anderson to beat them. Just have a bad feeling that Jennings may get some love this week, as he's a bigger/between the tackles type RB..........and this may be one of those type of games. LT is not an excellent play, but he'll get around his usual 20 touches, and a good opportunity to score a TD. I just can't pin a championship game on Harrison and Mangina.

Mangini may not be the greatest coach, but I don't think he is dumb enough to not feed the ball to Harrison. How do you justify sitting a rb who, last week, set a franchise record with 286 yards rushing. This guy is trying to keep his job. The media and fans will go after him if he doesn't give Harrision at least 20 touches, don't overanalyze it.
