I'm starting Matt Asiata this week over ___________. (2 Viewers)

over anyone not named Forte, Lynch, Ball or McCoy. NE will double up on Patterson and dare them to run and we all saw how well NE stopped Miami's running attack.

Gonna start him over Stacy. Everyone assumes they'll double Patterson, but maybe Patterson will see an uptick in carries himself to around 10 and put a ceiling on Asiatas carries?

Lots of stupid in this thread. I seem to recall this guy toting the rock like 30 times for 50 yards in a game last year. He is a backup for a reason - he's no good, and shouldn't be started over any RB2 or WR2 on your roster. You're talking about a very mediocre offense in which the most talented pure runner since Barry Sanders is going to be subbed out for a guy with a career YPC of under 4. You know those long runs that make AP AP? Asiata is not capable of busting those runs. Expect a Trent Richardson type line here - 13 carries, 34 yards.

You mean his 3td game? Or his 115 yards against Detroit?

Playing against a team that gave almost 200 on the ground to Miami?

I'd take the chance.

The NE defense was supposed to be much improved over last year, with a healthy Wilfork and Mayo. Miami's running game may have been good because of the heat/humidity, a great offensive coach, guys named Moreno, Albert (LT), Ja'Waun James (RT) and the subtraction of Daniel Thomas. The verdict is still out.

Isn't McKinnon supposed to be the better runner?

Is Asiata the type of RB that can catch passes? Even though AD only had a couple of receptions last week Norv Turner is known to force feed his RB's with receptions
