following Dodds advice on the new 10 second weekly primer. I picked up Pryor off waivers and am starting him over Andrew Luck.... anybody else starting him this week?
yeah you gotta start Kaep.I picked him up to replace Roethlisberger as my backup, but I'm still starting Kaepernick. 'Pryor' is way too easy to spell.
I have RG3 and Luck (mentioned before). I will NOT be starting Pryor over either this week.Debating over Rg3. For the great match up and the thought process that Rg3 still may have a little rust/nerves
LOL my bad.I was thinking about starting him over Brady. But someone had to start a "I'm starting Terrelle Pryor over ________" thread and jinx it all. Now I'm definitely benching him.
Is this a well documented Jinx?Raiderfan32904 said:I was thinking about starting him over Brady. But someone had to start a "I'm starting Terrelle Pryor over ________" thread and jinx it all. Now I'm definitely benching him.
ThanksYou guys drafted some awful quarterbacks.
I'm wrestling with this as I have San Francisco's D. I don't like to cancel my positions. Thinking of rolling with Philly or Carolina instead as Wilson is at home. Tough one.I think a case can be made for starting him over Russell Wilson.
I question Pryor's long term outlook, but the Jags defense is awful and they'll have a hard time keeping him under 100 yards rushing.I think I'd start Henne over Pryor. No schtick.
I'll concede the defense isn't very talented, but Gus Bradley is a pretty respected defensive mind, and this is the first time an NFL team will have a regular week to study the Raiders tendencies behind Pryor.I question Pryor's long term outlook, but the Jags defense is awful and they'll have a hard time keeping him under 100 yards rushing.I think I'd start Henne over Pryor. Not to say they won't game plan, but the majority of Pryors rushes were on scrambles. Hard to game plan for that as they aren't designed plays or the read option for example. I'm starting him over Russell. I think they both have roughly same floor of low teens, but I think the Jaguars give Pryor the higher ceiling.I'll concede the defense isn't very talented, but Gus Bradley is a pretty respected defensive mind, and this is the first time an NFL team will have a regular week to study the Raiders tendencies behind Pryor.I question Pryor's long term outlook, but the Jags defense is awful and they'll have a hard time keeping him under 100 yards rushing.I think I'd start Henne over Pryor. I think he puts up a turd personally, but I'll be happy to eat crow.
I've got Wilson......not considering it at all.RushHour said:I'm considering him over Russell Wilson, but I'll probably chicken out.
Right now, I have Pryor in there over Romo. It is a 4 pt passing TD/1 pt per 25 passing yard league, so running QBs have a sizable advantage. I think I would start Romo in a 6 pt passing TD league. If he gets 50 yards and a rushing TD, that is the same as 125 yards and 1.5 TDs passing. Alex Smith last week had 4-25 rushing against the Jags. I think Pryor has a good chance of running well against them.Maybe over Romo (only due to Romo's soreness).
where is this primer located?following Dodds advice on the new 10 second weekly primer. I picked up Pryor off waivers and am starting him over Andrew Luck.... anybody else starting him this week?
My thinking too. I have a feeling Kaep is going to come down to earth some against the hawks this week. Pryor seems the safer bet for points against a bad jags defense, safe to assume he gets at least 80 yards rushing. I actually think he has the higher ceiling this week too. He has something to prove against all of his doubters and naysayers, and has actually been rather heady on the whole in both the preseason and week 1. I can't see Kaep trashing the hawks defense the way he did Green Bay's. Last year when he played them he had 1 TD and 1 INT.I'm starting him over Colin Kaepernick. Despite Kaep's performance last week, I don't feel comfortable starting him against the Hawks secondary at Qwest.
Considering the same, but it's tough because I like both matchups. Palmer should throw a lot the next two weeks to keep up with Detroit and New Orleans... but Pryor probably faces his best matchup of the year against Jax, at home.Considering starting him over Palmer.
If I wasn't playing him against Russell Wilson this week in my other league. I would be worried as well.My thinking too. I could do this in one league with Pryor on waivers (really short benches, no keepers), but I have to roll with Kaep. Even in his bad game last year, Kaep still had an OK game fantasy wise with 244-1TD and 31 yards rushing. Based on last week, he sure looks like a better QB. Also, I watched the Panthers game and holding down Newton was as much to do with Newton as it was the Seahawks. Newton had another easy TD pass that he just missed. His WRs were open a lot and he missed them. Also, the running game was effective and the defense was great so the OC didn't have Newton do much. If it weren't for Williams fumble at the Seahawks 6 yard line and the punt fumble that hit a Panthers player, the Panthers would have won that game being very conservative. Just an FYI to Kaep owners like me who may not have seen the game and assume that the Seahawks shut Newton down.If I wasn't playing him against Russell Wilson this week in my other league.
