I'm throwing up a prayer and starting Blount over ______________ (1 Viewer)

I'm fighting a bad bye week here (lame excuse) and I have to find a TE and a flex out of these three. Blount, Clay and Vernon Davis (Q).

Thinking about playing both TEs, but lotta smoke around Ridley and Belichick openly praising Blount -- if there's ever a time to give him a start, is it now?

Anyone else considering rolling the dice here?

My team is being held together with a combination of scotch tape and scab players. With SJax and Vereen out I am rolling with Lacy, Blount and Zac Stacy (or Snelling)..

Actually feel pretty good about Blount-not so much about Stacy.

Blount should receive the lion's share of the RB touches this week with Ridley and Bolden both questionable to play. Should be good for at least 60 and a TD this week as Cincy has been giving up points to RBs this year...upside is a couple of scores but probably not much more than 80 total yards.

These are not bad discussions, but they feel like a better fit in the AC forum.

Personally, I'm coming around to the idea of throwing Blount in the flex position if he's named the starter, or putting him in at RB2 if Ridley is out. If Ridley is still the starter, it's hard to get excited about a guy who will likely only get 8-10 carries (most likely obvious run plays, too) and 0 targets. Until I see Ridley inactive or some news confirming a demotion (unlikely considering BB is the coach), Blount is staying on my bench.

I dunno seems liek the opportunity is there now - he could run with this chance and not look back. Ridley has been underwhelming..........

With Morris on a bye, Spiller on my bench from last night, Richardson being a POS ... I will be starting Blount over R Jennings, but it's still up in the air.

These threads that say I'm starting ------------ over (player). Really belong in the assistant coach, they are just people trying to disguise a who do I start question.

I am thinking about starting him over V. Davis in one league. In the other league I might start him over Chris Johnson

If it's that big of a deal, why not just refrain from clicking on the thread

In over CJ0K after reading that Ridley's out and Bolden's limpy. Not feeling great about it though.

Over lots of guys (gio, matthews, snelling, mcgahee) in my TD heavy league... now that ridley is out.

Still considering gio tho with wilfork out .

While I certainly see the argument, I'm not looking for advice -- I'm rolling with Blount. Just wanted to see what sorry suckers wanted to join my pity party, and why.

Ridley O and Bolden still Q. Who knows what that Q actually means in NE, but I'm feeling better about this. A flex RB getting 12+ touches in an offense that should get him close a few times, can't really complain.

Rolling with Blount this week also. If Blount has a solid game again he might even solidify the starting job until Vereen is back.

In over Jennings, I reached this decision because Blount jumped over some dudes a couple years ago. Good luck.
