Would there still be a draft? Would the players that get drafted get paid?

Underclassmen. Would they get extra time to decide or would they have to take the gamble. (If it's late December and there is no contract, it seems like it might be an extra hard decision for an underclassmen as to whether they should come out or not). If they don't, the following year's draft would potentially be the best draft in NFL history.

Here's a link to an article about the effect of "No Agreement" on the draft:

The part of your query relating to the next year of the draft being the best ever is just a buzz work association: un-capped year, lock-out, strike, ....and on and on and on. The idea that the Owner's are floating is that the Rookie salary scale is WAY out of hand: having to put that kind of money that the #1 Draft pick is pulling down based on previous "negotiations" is totally irrational (see Manning vs. Leaf; Russell vs. Gostkowski).

The Owners's will end up killing the Rookie pay scale and putting more money into the needy retired player fund is my guess as to where the draft, and it's pay scale, are going. Based on that, this year's draft many be......the best, and last of it's kind, ever. And, I'm just assuming that this year's draft is covered under the existing agreement.....I think that it is but I'm not totally clear on when the agreement expires and what League functions are effected when.

Basically, without an agreement the fabric tears and it's total chaos.

:excited:
