Rg3 being helped off Cousins in
I'd be shocked if RGIII plays again this season. Hyperextended knee and he looked like he couldn't put weight on it after trying to gut it out.
It was ugly! Would not be suprised if everything in his knee is shredded as well..looked a little like McGahees.http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bz-T1rdwTHY
His ACL is fine. Dr. Andrews is our team doctor and told him that pre-MRI, as far as he could tell the ACL was fine.
 I don't get this. How can anyone, including Dr. Andrews, tell for sure the extent of the damage until doing an MRI/X-Ray? I'm calling BS on this.
They did an x-ray at the stadium and saw no fractures. Doctors said they felt no ligament damage. Of course, that doesn't guarantee there is no ligament damage, but they currently don't think it's an ACL. He's having an MRI tonight (possibly already done). We should hear some news leaked tonight.

You don't think Dr. James Andrews has some idea what he's dealing with pre-MRI? It's not a guarantee, but there are tests performed on the sideline that can tell trainers/doctors something at least.

There are preliminary strength tests they can do that are indicators of which ligaments are in tact. Looseness and lack of stability based upon bending and flexing the damaged area can be an early tell of final diagnosis. These are initial tests performed by every trainer at every level. Having these tests performed by one of the medical field's leaders and foremost experts on ligaments is far from BS.It's a genuine good, early sign for Redskin fans.

Most high school trainers do this and have a pretty good idea of the injury. I could imagine Dr. Andrews has good success.

Looks like Dez sprained a finger:

Dez Bryant revealed Sunday night that he caught his 27-yard touchdown pass against the Bengals with a sprained finger.

It's believed the injury was on Bryant's left hand; he was seen on the sideline getting the finger taped up in the third quarter. "I sprained my finger or whatever, but I didn`t want that to keep me out," said Bryant. "I wanted to come back in. I tossed the ball a little bit before I ran back in to see if it was OK. Hey, I felt OK, so I went back into the game. Bryant now has seven touchdown catches over his last five games.

Redskins quarterback Robert Griffin III feels good today and appears ready to play against the Browns on Sunday.Coach Mike Shanahan said today that when he saw the hit Griffin took on Sunday he was nervous, but after talking to Dr. James Andrews, who examined Griffin, he’s optimistic.

“We felt very good with the news,” Shanahan said of Dr. Andrews’ examination. “When I looked at it on film I thought it would be worse than it was.”

Shanahan described the injury as a lateral collateral ligament sprain.

“Robert has a mild sprain of the LCL — it’s Grade 1,” he said. “He’s had some mild swelling. He had his right knee repaired, his ACL, in 2009, and that looks great. No problem there. We’ll evaluate it day by day, see how it is on Wednesday, but talking to him today he felt pretty good.”

With this news coming a day after Griffin took a hit that could have been very bad, the Redskins have to feel very good.

Some doctor nerd on ESPN said he should be out weeks because of the injury could lead to a more severe injury....

Moronic. Fred Jackson was out just two weeks with a grade 2 sprain to his LCL. So it was a worse injury and he is ten years older.
