on nfl network now (maybe on later if not on west coast)...

he was always one of my favorite defensive players in the '90s...

he had an almost singular energy (borderline manic) & intensity, even in a league of intense dudes...

definitely one of the top trash talkers in NFL history... he would go above & beyond call of duty & read personal info in team bios just to find new & creative ways to dis players & get in their heads, throw them off their games (probably worked on some players, & caused them to lose focus, with a possessed, crazed, raving mad man with speaking-in-tongues fervor across from them, bringing it for 60 minutes every game :) )...

he was nothing if not entertaining... & obviously had a great passion for the game... i'm really into intangibles for dynasty league purposes, & the cool thing about these bio programs is getting a sense for what makes the great ones tick... probably many are driven to succeed & would have succeeded in other carrer paths due to off the charts determination (& many do later, like in business, & probably not in all cases due to connections they are afforded)...

i forgot how strong he was... he got under an OL on one play (he was short but powerful & had innate sense of how to exploit leverage) & just blew him backwards & completely airborn... his body lannguage didn't quite look right, & i'm guessing a 300 lb OL was probably a little nonplussed at being completely thrown up in the air like that & landing on his back...

l'roi glover in his prime was similar in his lack of height for DT combined with great power & leverage, as well as speed & quickness to easily outmaneuver lumbering (for the most part, especially in those days, when they may not have been as athletic, on average) interior OL...

* even though he never won a super bowl (i think), dude was a winner... as a rams fan, i wish they had 50 players just like him with his intensity & passion.

thanks, I'll have to look for this. He was always entertaining on those sound clips HBO would play

I recall one time he was miced upped for a game and he would be screaming and acting crazy during each play and then, in between plays, he would very calmly and in a low voice talk to one of the refs about both of them going on a hypothetical fishing trip together. :lmao:
