Did he have all top 5?Ok,,,,, so I just looked at it again and there was one song ranked #7 on the composite, but still a little crazy.
More crazy is the one person that hit quite a few right on the nose.

Yeah, I don’t think so. My #10 song was 70something, or 100something without my ranking. My #12 has already gone. I’m one of the only people here who understands different tastes, it seems. There’s nothing I love that I’d be upset if others didn’t. Thought that had been clear and I was free to shtick it up.There is one tomorrow where I predict you will have a total meltdown.![]()

I should say, too, that there are some people I know aren’t very familiar with the whole oeuvre (I just like typing that word). So many “known” songs are automatically going to be higher. It’s why I like having a thread where we can press a Mother Nature’s Son or I’m Looking Through You to people who haven’t listened before. And also why I appreciate a ManofSteelhead or rock or others who aren’t going either party- or Krista-line.Yeah, I don’t think so. My #10 song was 70something, or 100something without my ranking. Then why would you think I’d care about consensus, let alone “melt down”? If I did, I’d just have posted what I knew you all liked to begin with. It’s not hard to figure out.I think everyone understands all the different tastes here except Binky.
There were three or four FBG's that added many, many songs to the Composite list and I'm glad they were able to expose them.I should say, too, that there are some people I know aren’t very familiar with the whole oeuvre (I just like typing that word). I believe the helicopter scene was Jaws 2, but Jaws 3 had Dennis Quaid, while Jaws The Revenge had Michael Caine, but someone should check my math. Was Jaws the Revenge the one where the shark jumps out of the sea and snatches a helicopter out the air? Or was that the 3d one with Dennis Quaid? Or was it the one in jamaica with Michael Caine? And how do any of them relate to the cinematic masterpiece Ringo Starr star vehicle Caveman? Which also had Dennis Quaid in it. And Shelly Long. And John Matuszak. And Barbara Bach (Ringo's current wife).
Aha! Shtick upon shtick! So meta.It was schtickplaying off early posts saying you had to up your meanness game

I had a theory many years ago that every human should have theme music that would play at all times, and that music would tell you all you needed to know about the person. Would make dating, making friends, electing a President, etc. so much easier, albeit making the world a loud place. So, I always like to listen to others music cause I believe it shows me something of them that can't really be explained too easily in other ways.
Do you think he composed it correctly? A great musician friend picked up on this and composed what he thought would be my theme music. It was kind of scary.

I'm going to guess that "one" is "And Your Bird Can Sing".Getzlaf15 said:There is one tomorrow where I predict you will have a total meltdown.![]()

This describes me pretty well. I had heard all of the songs before but I probably never listened to them the way I did after reading the write ups. My original top 25 was heavy on songs I was more familiar with, but if I had to make a list now there would be at least 5 changes for songs that I came to appreciate more through this thread..krista4 said:I should say, too, that there are some people I know aren’t very familiar with the whole oeuvre (I just like typing that word). @Getzlaf15, if you post/PM the composite rankings you've posted so far (so I don't have to go back thru post by post), I can try to replicate the album ranks I did for K4's countdown. Describes my situation very well too. I'm a Beatles fan but mostly stay in the middle era. Yeah, I would get the same thing. But, it's a proud papa moment when you walk by the bathroom while your kid is showering and you hear the Alexa in the bathroom blasting out "Glass Onion". This is why I prefer the 35 minute solitary ride to work with The Beatles Channel playing.Describes my situation very well too. I'm a Beatles fan but mostly stay in the middle era. This is easily my favorite thread of all time at FBG. And, it has drastically increased my listening of Beatles tunes. My mornings generally start with:. "Alexa, play the Beatles.". Unfortunately, these days my instruction to Alexa is now followed by my wife and daughter rolling their eyes and saying "Beatles again, really?!"

At this point, I would like to hear everyone just #### and hear only their theme music.
What are some you appreciate more now? This describes me pretty well. I had heard all of the songs before but I probably never listened to them the way I did after reading the write ups. that's so Mr. Ishida....Still waiting on the K4 top song moments list.
By far the "song" I developed a much greater appreciation for is the Abbey Road medley. Because I don't know much about playing a musical instrument, I typically focus on lyrics and vocals almost exclusively. Lyrically You Never Give Me Your Money is the only part that ever interested me, but once I started to really listen to the transitions between songs and the solos in The End I began appreciating the whole as more than the sum of its parts. Also, Polythene Pam is pretty catch once you get past the lyrics. What are some you appreciate more now?
What an excellent list.Shaft41's Favorite 13 Things In Beatles Songs As Of This Very Moment Which Could Darn Well Possibly Change Anytime, Really As Soon As Tonight, Listed In No Particular Order Because I'm Not Daft Enough To Try And Rank Things:
1. The piano solo in "In My Life", particularly the last measure where George Martin gets in 13 more notes than thought humanly possible. I distinctly remember someone recently saying that that was precisely what they DIDN'T like about the solo, but that person is wrong.
2. The impossibly fast bass line on what I think might be the second or third verse of "Taxman"
3. The eight notes on the words "But tomorrow may rain so-o" right before "I'll Follow the Sun."
4. The harmony on the lines "Someday when I'm dreaming, wishing you weren't so far away" on "Things We Said Today". The only problem is that these harmonies are so sublime and perfect that I can never decide which part I want to sing along to when I hear it, so I end up skipping back and forth between.
5. The enunciation on the "d" in the line "That's the end(uh), little girl" on "Run For Your Life."
6. The triple harmonies in "Because". I'm a sucker for harmonies. They make literally any song at minimum 32% better. These are some of the best, particularly that highest part when they say "rou-ou-ou-ou-ou-ou-ound." And, as Krista told the three of us who read her posts, these were triple-tracked (which is a really fun phrase to say quickly) to make it sound more like 9 voices. I was dismayed that I was the only one to put this in my top 25.
7. The only recorded use of the word "bailalaika" in a pop song in "Back in the U.S.S.R."
8. Opening piano riff of "Hey Bulldog"
9. The second time the french horn solo comes back in backing Paul's singing in "For No One." Haunting.
10. The four descending piano chords after the words "speaking words of wisdom, Let It Be", particularly when played expertly by my progeny.
11. The discordant piano chords on "I Want To Tell You."
12. Ringo yelling "I've got blisters on my fingers" at the end of "Helter Skelter."
13. The very second the ####### flute stops in "Fool on the Hill."
I think I'm in a similar boat to Tom here. What are some you appreciate more now? This describes me pretty well. I had heard all of the songs before but I probably never listened to them the way I did after reading the write ups. dittoRain and Hey Bulldog are two more that I enjoy more now that I understand what I am listening to a little better.

You're certainly a lovely audience....
As far as the Beatles, I (cut and paste ...this "I" is not me/Binky) could only find 2 quotes. They really don’t say much of anything specifically about the film; they have more to do with the idea of it.Tangent from the title of this song....
Did the Beatles have any say or creative input into the film that must not be named? I haven't really looked into it, but now I find myself wondering what they thought of that.
