In this thread I rank my favorite Beatles songs: 204-1. (7 Viewers)

I walked to dinner tonight listening to the 50th anniversary White Album re-release, specifically the Esher demo versions (skipping Savoy Truffle and such, of course).  My trip starts up a small hill but then when I reach its crest, my view the entire way forward down a much larger, longer hill is of the east side of the Olympic mountain range.  We've had a ton of snow in the mountains this year, so they're particularly stunning.  The beginning of my trip hit right at sunset.  Listening to the following while watching the sun set over the mountains was sublime (can anyone find reasonable links to these?):

-  Dear Prudence - I've always read that John hated his singing voice.  I just can't ####### imagine.

-  While My Guitar Gently Weeps - such a great version without Clapton vomiting all over it.

-  Mother Nature's Son - actually I like the final version much better, but it reminded me that I consider this my #1 Beatles underrated song.

-  Monkey song - if people don't like the fire bell in the rocking version, check this one out.  It only rocks half your face off, but still awesome.

I didn't post about multiple versions of any of this stuff when I was doing write-ups (except for Across The Universe and TLAWR when it was necessary), because I had plenty on my plate already, but these are worth checking out, particularly while walking into a mountain sunset.

Also, please add the transition from the plane noise in Back in the U.S.S.R. into Dear Prudence to my "favorite Beatles moments" list.

hold the #### up tim.

this is coming from the absolute king of some of the longest, unnecessarily drawn-out, tim-judgemental-based threads in the history of this board.

sometimes you are such a giant ####.

why the need to dump on getz you putz?

if I could envision an analogy - you would be the toilet and getz would be taking a dump
And people called me mean in here.

Gunna call Tier jump here...   up 4 points from last song and first song to be ranked by six FBG's

All the Love for Ed Sullivan again....HTF was this not in my 25?
I think BBWC was listed on "I Want To Tell You" earlier, but if not that I am sure another song.  Don't ask me why I remember that.

By the way, the rest of you suck.

Man, this is beautiful.

Really.

Have Binky's list and we have 10 lists competing for the $100.

One list had all of the top 6 in their Top 6, and all were at least two spots away from being correct and scored just one point each on those.  Ouch.

Would fall out of my 25 today.   Maybe.

Shea Stadium Highlights
Odd, when I read K's original, I regretted that it missed my 25.

It's for sure in my 83...the tier of equals at 26 (25).

Good song.

If that person doesn’t win, I’m gonna donate for him, because that’s crazy.
Ok,,,,,   so I just looked at it again and there was one song ranked #7 on the composite, but still a little crazy.

More crazy is the one person that hit quite a few right on the nose.

I see rankings like this and think you people(?) suck(!?), but then I see I had it only a few spots higher and realize again that there are just too many great songs.

There is one tomorrow where I predict you will have a total meltdown.   :scared:
