Indefinite New England Patriots Thread (5 Viewers)

Yeah, yeah, the "tampering" is commonplace, what the big deal? But when commonplace things that everyone was doing/does, like videotape or prepare footballs, are done by the PATRIOTS!!! WHOA! That's a BIG DEAL!!!! It's criminal!

.

It's ok if teams do it and lose.

You just can't do in and win.

... so the Jets are safe here.

I have no idea who this writer is but I think it's laughable. The Hate has become so transparent that anything said is just noise.

Bashing the Pats has "jumped the shark".

Have at it losers.
Mannish Mehta is a tool, even toward the Jets.

LOL, how the Jets locale is Manhattan while the Pats are middle of nowhere Mass. Jets play in East Rutherford, NJ and their corporate offices and practice facilities are in Florham Park, NJ.

Now more than 2 months into the "investigation." Do people really think they will have put this much effort into something and then come up with nothing?

Or they can't come up with anything at all or it has pointed to media/ league/ other teams.

I actually didn't even read it. Goodell bot gonna bot.

MMQB: Did you ever think of quitting?

RG: It never even entered my mind. In fact nothing has entered my mind since the mid-nineties.

well, if I had a job making 20m/yr or whatever, I doubt I'd think about quitting either

You talkin' to me? I thought about that. I meant it more like a "scratching my chin" oh yeah. (if that's what you're talking about)

are we talking about tampering or footballs?
Deflategate
You think it's taken 2+ months because of all of the effort?
Depends on what you think the effort is for, I guess, If the effort is to find a way to punish NE, it could take two months to come up with enough evidence to sell it with a straight face.

There are also rumblings that the Iggles might release Mathis if they can't find a trade partner.

Should they pursue or go after Conolly - or both?

Kraft's smoking gun comment strikes me as a very odd thing to say.
Ive heard this in a couple of places, doesn't bother me.

To me it sounds like hes needling the investigation. What could possibly be taking them so long, there is no evidence to suggest the Pats are guilty of any wrongdoing. Is how I interpreted it.

Granted, bias.

My gut reaction to reading that he said it were

1-implies guilt but no proof

2-might want to avoid discussing guns with AH on trial

At the end of the day, the investigation will provide the same results regardless of what Kraft says so I'm not bothered by them. It just seemed odd phrasing all things considered.

I don't interpret Krafts comments like that at all and I can't understand why anyone other than the usual toolbags (espn, haters etc, which I know u r not), would.

I interpret it the way I think he obviously meant it; that is, he knows damn well they didn't do anything wrong, because they didn't AND he knows there isn't any proof otherwise. How could there be a "smoking gun" when he knows they didn't do anything wrong?

I want to see the smoking gun for the pos colts org who smeared NE left and right leaking bs information. Was it the incompetent grigson or the drunk\druggie owner who went to Kravitz and espn the same efn night? "We just want a level playing field blah, blah, blah" bullcrap, if that was the case they wouldn't have instantly started leaking and smearing that same night the lyin pos. Where did grigson come up with the idea in the 1st place? Was it a butt hurt Harbaugh? These tools can't win on the field so they whine, lie and smear other orgs to get back at them.

Oh yeah more thing, fire that jets lovin poc Kensil

Carry on......

I always thought it was kind of an interesting question as to the genesis of all this, and who the axe grinder ultimately was.

I wondered if it was maybe harbaugh, but he had such close ties to belichick it was hard to get past that shadow of a doubt.

grigson was actually with the greatest show on turf when we upset their applecart way back at the beginning, and I believe the year he left the rams and joined the eagles organization happens to be the same year we beat them, too.

now that he's got this great new job with the colts things were probably looking pretty up for him, and the pats are back to haunt him with an annual embarrassment --- he might just have turned himself into the joker.

Yeah, I think Grigsons got some serious butt hurt goin on.

PFT's Mike Florio reports the Jets have filed tampering charges against the Patriots after owner Robert Kraft talked about Darrelle Revis on Tuesday.
Up here in Canada we have a type of offender called a "vexatious litigant". They punish you for it. This is that sort of charge. Petty and stupid.

I actually was sort of fond of the Jets under Ryan. Kiss da rings Woody.

Well this is bull####.

NFL owners have passed the rule proposal banning the use of ineligible receivers like the Patriots did in the AFC divisional playoffs.
The proposal if I remember correctly bans players with eligible receiver numbers reporting as ineligible and lining up outside the tackle box.

Honestly I think the rule change is fine. They have been making it more and more difficult for defenses as it is, for once they throw the defense a bone.

Of course, I am happy the Pats managed to use it to their advantage while it lasted.

Belichick loses it at the owner's meetings. Cheap owners won't spend on end zone, goal line cams. Go Bill.
UPDATE 7:08 p.m. ET: Three sources who were in the room tell PFT there was no profane tirade from Belichick.
:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:
Haha, when will the Salty Haters stop lying about the Patriots? Salty Haters have a culture of frustrated self-delusion.
I was kind of hoping he did go off. Rebel Bill.

shefter needs to start being help accountable for his bad reporting. seems the motive is to get the gossip out and fact check later instead of getting the facts and then telling the story.
