Gordon probably wouldn't be covered by a linebacker. They need Gordon catching those White routes down the sideline.
3 TDs, off the scoreboard
does it matter who is covering gordon?Gordon probably wouldn't be covered by a linebacker. They need Gordon catching those White routes down the sideline.

This is a seriously lazy jab.Does anyone think Gordon could handle the NE playbook?
I feel like the easy answer is no.
They need somebody outside the numbers. At least a threat.Does anyone think Gordon could handle the NE playbook?

People have been saying this since Moss left and they have won a SB, lost a SB, and been to 5 straight AFCCG's since then. They need somebody outside the numbers. At least a threat.Does anyone think Gordon could handle the NE playbook?

You can't throw everything down the middle to Edelman/Gronk/Amendola.
The Pats may want or need Jackson, but I don't see NE shelling out the kind of money he will want. He is currently in the $8 million a year range. They missed dion lewis. And if desean jackson gets cut. I think he is exactly what the pats o needs. Also i fully expect the pats to sign eric weddle
Injuries are a cop out imo. They were generally healthy. Not 100% but who is. They had the majority of their guys back for the game yesterday. Denver beat them for the second time this year. The big games they lose, they lose because the other teams defensive line dominates our offensive line. Yesterday was no different.
I'm not saying Pats were exceptional in dealing with injuries, at all. I know it's probably not backed by numbers, but this year felt like the worst ever for injuries throughout the league. Week after week teams would lose crucial players. And super entertaining players. It was a drag. It's like the knee joint is just not built for football.I can see why outsiders find some Pats fans so irritating. They never get flat out beat. Its always something....injuries, fluke plays, refs etc thats the reason they lost. Yesterday their offensive line was dominated and Brady made some key mistakes because of it.
The LeFell out of love with him this year from jump street. Didn't go well with his injury from months and months ago and never got out of the doghouse. What happened to brandon lafell this year. Seemed like he was that missing piece last year. Solid 3rd option. Did he even have a target yesterday??
He sucks. Always has. What happened to brandon lafell this year. Seemed like he was that missing piece last year. Solid 3rd option. Did he even have a target yesterday??
Would love Weddle but don't see him coming unless he leaves big money on the table...the Pats have Hightower, Collins and Chandler Jones coming up soon...I can not picture letting Hightower or Collins getting to free agency...way too valuable...Jones is a real wildcard...he disappeared in the playoffs and the whole police station oddness looms very large over him...he could be the odd man out...if the Pats are gonna spend good money on D it has to be on their own players...also, they have big money tied-up in McCourty and with Chung, Harmon and Richards safety really isn't a position of need...They missed dion lewis. And if desean jackson gets cut. I think he is exactly what the pats o needs. Also i fully expect the pats to sign eric weddle
BB could not have been happy with the development of the youngsters this year...as I said earlier this maybe the only year in recent memory where the O line got worse as the year went on...Ian Rapoport @RapSheet 15m15 minutes ago
#Patriots are parting ways with offensive line coach Dave DeGuglielmo, sources say. One day after Tom Brady took a record number of hits
ETA: hashtag do your job, I guess..
Completely. Never understood how they could not see that.He sucks. Always has. What happened to brandon lafell this year. Seemed like he was that missing piece last year. Solid 3rd option. Did he even have a target yesterday??

Indeed. Sort of takes the sting out of the punishment. They can still acquire players, just not in the first round of the draft. I always thought this was a less significant punishment than many perceived because of this. The good news is they'll have extra money against the cap, what with not having to sign those draft picks. Suck it, Goodell.
Ruebs, Marvin Jones, Brian Quick and his terrible injury history, Travis Benjamin, Rishard Matthews, Seth Roberts and Chris Matthews.I'd like to see the Pats kick the tires on Rueben Randle this offseason. They clearly need a WR who can win jump balls down the field and he fits the bill with his size/speed.

And the 12th anniversary of title #2.Today marks the one year anniversary of the Butler pick and subsequent fourth SB victory.
RIP Akeem Ayers' credit. And what a roller coaster it was. The Kearse catch?
Shouldn't ever forget Hightowers shoestring tackle of Lynch on first and goal either.

It was a running joke with my friends that CAR would win the superbowl and I'd still be yelling, "They're overrated! Just you wait! Somebody will pop their bubble!"....Carolina (who looked basic).
Maybe winning by 17 or more is a stretch, but I think the Pats would have had a MUCH better chance in Foxboro. The Pats had to go with a silent count in Denver and the Broncos did an outstanding job timing the rush with the snap, often getting enough of a jump to put Vollmer and Cannon behind the 8-ball. In Foxboro, Brady would have been able to use a hard count and vary it to help keep Denver from getting that jump.I have already heard talk of BB cost the team a title by not winning against the Jets or the Dolphins. Felger suggested the Patsw would have beaten Denver in Foxboro by at least 17, possibly more. I disagree. The way the Broncos defense was playing down the stretch, NE would have suffered the same fate even at home.
