Yeah, I was thinking about that. I have no idea how the fumble piece comes into play with that. I guess he should have been ruled down when the knee hit. No idea where they actually spotted it in relation to all of that.

They're supposed to treat it the same as a QB slide now but they are very inconsistent with how they enforce it.

There were two plays within the last couple years though where they ruled QBs short of the goaline when they dove head first into the endzone, but sometimes they let them do it.
