Teams checked in with #Giants on availability Jalin Hyatt, Daniel Bellinger and Jameis Winston and were told then the plan is to keep them on 53-man roster, per sources"."
*******

I would have probably kept Dulcich and taken the , I presume, 26' draft pick for Bellinger.
Same. Dulcich looked pretty solid I thought, he's just been hurt a lot.

Ok, preseason was a total mirage. Nothing changed from last year. Can’t block, Wilson has zero time. Defense can’t get off field on 3rd and long.

Oh, everyone’s favorite scapegoat Danny Dimes is having himself a game…

Sigh.

I don’t want to see Dart. Leave Wilson in there until the line breaks him. Then put in Winston. I don’t want to see dart broken before he learns. Then spend all the draft picks on OLine men.

I’m just disgusted that the giants just can’t fix the OLine issues.

Not having Andrew Thomas is huge. He makes the oline average just by being part of it.

The Giants are not a playoff team. The D isn't good or disciplined enough and the lack of talent depth at key positions will hurt them. Making Dart the QB does nothing to address those deficiencies.

I really hate the whole "bench Russell Wilson after 1 game" narrative. The whole point of Russ was to stabilize the position with a vet who the rook could learn from the first year/8 games or so. Replacing him after 1 game makes me think people think he's holding the Giants back from a playoff run. He's not.

I'm done with this narrative as well. Thomas is never healthy and aside from 1 season has never been a top 10 OT ... He is way overrated and always Injured!
How can this be plan A when you dont even know when he will be able to play !!!! Disgraceful !!!

And what is this **** with Evan Neal !!! How much worse could he possible be than what we saw on the field yesterday
This Front Office is horrible at evaluating Oline Talent !! Why are we to believe that it's Evan Neal and not them???

Other ****ing observations from this disaster
Tyrone Tracy - What the Hell do people see in this guy ??? He's not even worth having on an NFL roster never mind lead back
Same goes for "The Athletic Freak" Theo Johnson ! I see a Big lumbering spaz ... I'll take Dulchich over him

Thought I didn't hear Banks name much yesterday. I was right, 11 snaps on defense.

Who from the 2022 and 2023 drafts is getting a 2nd contract here?

Did anyone actually think they were?

You could have him ... I want a RB that can run people over and fall forward, push the pile and not fumble the damn ball.
This guy is nothing special at all ... not worth a roster spot is extreme ... he's a fine #3 RB

Meanwhile Flott was getting tortured! Similar to the Evan Neal situation
If the guys you replace them with are going to suck as bad or worse ... whats the point?
Go with the 1st rd pick with potential!!!!!

After watching Russ play yesterday ... I wouldnt mind seeing what Jameis could do.
Russ was about as terrible as the rest of the team

I want fast action here ... Someone has to be fired immediately if the outcome this weekend is similiar.
Start with Bowen on Defesnive side and Schmidtz, Runyan and that big stiff Theo,
I that doesnt work Daboll, and after the season Schoen should be gone
Dont wait till the entire season is another useless disaster... heads need to roll asap !!!!

According to Warren Sharpe, the Giants ran 7 plays inside the 3 yard line. They ended up with negative one yard on those 7 plays.
0 points
You gotta go old school with a fullback and run some power plays

It's the O-line stupid
What do you mean? The O'line didnt build itself
Someone spent a 1st, 2nd, 3rd, (2) 5ths, and overpaid 3 x Free Agents to fill 4 Spots on the Oline (Thomas was already there)
Did the Oline allow WAS to run for 7 yard per attempt?

So are saying the O-line is not an issue?
Seems like you think the Oline is the only issue...
They entire team is an issue starting with the GM
The Defense let up 7 yds per carry ... if you take away the kneel downs and the lone tackle for loss it's closer to 8 yds a carry

Here's what I think of the Giants Oline

ESPN’s Jordan Raanan reports Giants LB Micah McFadden (foot) will undergo surgery and be out “significant time.”

McFadden injured his foot in Week 1 and is “likely to return this season.” The post sending him to injured reserve is in the drafts already. The question is just how long it will be, and based on “significant,” we’re guessing this injury will require more than the minimum required four-week stay for McFadden. Darius Muasau played the most at linebacker in McFadden’s place. It’s a small boost for the Cowboys in Week 2.
welp we're boned.

PFF Raings
Bellinger highest rated Giants offensive player 84.4 - so sit his *** on the bench for Theo the stiff 53.3
Donte Banks highet rated CB 67.1 sit his *** for Flott 57.1

Yep McFadden has been the Giants best MLB since last year

The Cowboys are preparing for Wilson
If Daboll was smart, and he's not, He would start Jameis and possibly throw in some Dart and maybe Wilson.
They have the advantage of having 2 NFL starters and a talented rookie ... SO USE THEM DUMMIES !!!!!!!!!

Let's face the truth here.
Big Blue is in for another 3-4 win season.
There's not a quarterback on the roster that's going to thrive behind their offensive line.
If Thomas comes back healthy they go from horrible to just below average.
Play Wilson and Winston. Let Dart watch, listen and learn.
Putting him in behind this line might set him back,I don't think it would hurt his confidence,he has plenty of that to spare.
Next year draft offensive linemen early and often
Then let Dark take over in 2026
Daboll and Schoen coming back is another discussion
I'd rather not see a complete change, that only sets Dark back a year
Suck it up for another year my fellow die hards
And keep your buddy Jack Daniels close at hand

I hope this desperate regime does not throw Dart in too early to try to save their jobs, but that looks to be the trajectory. I felt bad for Russ last week as the line did not give him any chance for success.

Well, that was better. Mbow acquitted himself well. I don't want to see Hudson on the field again. Not really upset. I wanted "watchable" and "competitive" as a first step. They were that this week.

Wilson had a bone headed throw. I'll be watching to see who screams that it was "typical Russ" like they used to with Eli. That throw and not getting points after the turnover were the game.

Small steps.

Compared to last year, there were hints of a pocket today. I'll take it. Pretty sure Mbow gave up the pressure that forced the blind throw from Wilson at the end of game. But I wasn't really interested in watching that particular replay... :kicksrock: But all in all, it was an improvement. Again, small steps are fine, as long as they are all forward.

Officiating sucked ... Some of the calls against the Giants were petty ... 14 /160 yds is insane ... 3-5 more penalties were declined or negated
And FG kicking is ruining football. When 65 yarders are becoming chip shots it's time to change some rules.
Start at 35 yd line gain 20 yards and kick a chippy ...defenses have very little chance against that

James Hudson is a psychopath and its to bad because otherwise he was pretty good

Danny Dimes embarrassing the front office. If Saquon leaves and wins a Super Bowl just so they could cut Jones after 8 weeks and then he takes the Colts to the playoffs, they should consider seppuku.

I don't think it was a bone headed throw. I think Greg Olsen explained it very well. Russ was under pressure,he needed to get a throw off and knew Nabers was in the area.
You could point to two dozen plays that decided the game. The defense was gassed at the end. They had a shot to win, several really.
At least they were fun to watch for a change. No moral victories. I just asked for being competative this year. They delivered that Sunday.
But it sure would be nice to win a game before October

The problem can't be the offensive line. That's been so good, Schoen has only felt the need to spend one 5th round pick on an offensive lineman in the last 2 years.

Honestly, the OLine has been a strength for at least a decade now.

(Listening to the call… almost an interception. “Almost” is the best description for this team. Almost an interception, fumble recovery, sack, first down. Almost. Sigh.)

It's now confirmed that the problem is Schoen and Daboll. And somehow Schoen is a massive downgrade from Gettleman if that is even possible.
Gettleman picks, Barkley, Mckinney, Love and now Jones have had much better success since escaping this circus.
The best remaining players on the team are Thomas and Dexter, two Gettleman holdovers ... and Thibideux was the result of a Gettleman trade
Meanwhile we have failed 1s rd picks Banks (trade Up) and Evan Neal, Failed 2nd rd Center, 3rd (trade up) Hyatt
We are being force fed Theo (The Stiff) Johnson and for sometime another huge bust Joshua Ezeudu because they refuse to admit they screwed up

Giants were out coached by KC. Spags was taking away Malik Nabers and Robinson and Giants coaches couldn't figure out a way to get them the ball. The offense lacks imagination and is very predictable. The defense has talent but for some reason struggles to get off the field on third down. Wilson tore up Dallas,so did Williams yesterday, says more about an awful Dallas defense than the Giants offense. This crap show won't end until Schoen,Daboll and the entire caoching staff are gone. Coaching matters. See Daniel Jones.
