Yikes. I hope the line can hold up and he survives first contact with the enemy.Let The Dart Era begin
Probably shows how little faith they have in Winston winning games. With Daboll’s job on the line, guess he felt that if Russ can’t bridge the gap, they have to go with the rookie.Based on the Giants saying they wanted to let Dart develop this season, I was suprised they had him at #2 on the depth chart to start the season.
If their goal was to develop him slowly, they should have had him #3 behind Winston.
But they didn't, so I hope the kid is ready
It shouldn't be about winning games, though, provided Mara has realistic expectations. Now they're going off-plan with Dart because of that, though, so like @Yenrub said, I hope he's ready because if he's not it can hurt his long term development. At least we will have more time to see if he can handle it because next year they should have a very early draft pick and this draft should be strong at QB.Probably shows how little faith they have in Winston winning games. Yeah, you cannot replace Nabers. However, you can win without him as shown today.Bittersweet win for the Giants today

Jobs. Plural. There is a decent amount of younger talent on the roster, should be an attractive job opening soon enough.
Anyone have a couple of top coaching candidates? I do not have a clue who would be sought after.Jobs. Plural. There is a decent amount of younger talent on the roster, should be an attractive job opening soon enough.
Knowing Mara, he'll cop out and hire Belichick because he doesn't have a prior relationship with anyone else up for the job.Anyone have a couple of top coaching candidates? Not sure why they have so much trouble finding a competent kicker when it seems like everyone is hitting 50 yarders like it's nothing. That kicker better be walking home.
Hell, sign me. I promise you, I can make extra points. (Field Goals these days... maybe not. Extra points, no problem)
While you are at it, throw Daboll, who was chasing points way too early, and Shoen for his inability to find a kicker, out the plane door.
That hurt.
These idiots better roster 2 kickers for this game ! And neither better be named Jude McAtamneyThis seems massively unwise.
Is he going to get hurt in warmups again and leave y'all high and dry? This really is a fool-me-twice or three times thing. I don't get it. He's good, but he's not available even close to enough. He's 38! He's not going to get healthier. I get he's got tons of range. The new rules about kicking balls are adding probably 4-5 yards to guys' ranges. At least.

Giants Designate K Graham Gano For Return
The Giants have seen Graham Gano miss extensive time, but the veteran kicker has a chance to return for Week 8www.profootballrumors.com
"Giants Designate K Graham Gano For Return
Set to be the team’s kicker this week (per Daboll) if healthy, Gano has now missed 20 games since the 2023 season. The Giants placed their longtime kicker on IR in 2023 and ’24, with knee and hamstring injuries leading him off the 53-man roster. A groin malady sustained during pregame warmups in Week 3 sidelined Gano. All of these absences have come since Gano signed a three-year, $16.5MM extension. Despite the trouble staying healthy in 2023 and ’24, the 38-year-old specialist has remained the Giants’ preferred kicker." - ProFootballRumors
They scored 32 (should've been 35 pts) against the 1st-2nd best Defense in the NFL on the Road and lost because they didnt have a kicker, Beat the reigning Super Bowl Champs pretty handily, Beat a pretty Good Chargers team with an excellent QB, played tuff against Mahomes and the Chiefs, Lost with 30 seconds left vs Cowboys in Dallas on alast second 64 yd FGYou guys are really putting the cart before the horse. Giants' talent depth is mediocre at best. At many positions the starter gets hurt, the backup is below replacement. They'll need a successful draft patching holes and the guys gaining more experience before I'll say they're "good".
