Injury thread. Training camp August 2024 edition. (1 Viewer)

Yaya Diaby (TB DE) was carted off today - didn’t see an update. He’s a pretty important situational pass rusher for the Bucs.

Los Angeles Chargers quarterback Justin Herbert was diagnosed with a plantar fascia injury in his right foot following Wednesday's practice and is expected to be sidelined for at least two weeks, the team announced Thursday.
Herbert will be placed in a walking boot during that time. The team indicated that the expectation is Herbert will be ready to play at the start of the regular season. The Chargers open at home against the Raiders in Week 1.

very painful injury, hope the time in the waking boot does him some good

Today seems like a bad day for injuries when camps just started and we haven't had a preseason game yet.

In other threads it’s being reported he’ll be ready Week 1

I have seen both reports that is why I put 4 to 6. Paul Kuharsky said 4 to 6.
heard 4-6 on the radio. Sounded like the most significant of today’s injuries other than the OL dude who broke his ankle, but I think he was competing for a job and not DHop.

Does not help my Will Levis share. 😬

Heard on the radio that it’s not that significant and team expects him to be ready by game 1.

That said, it’s a tricky injury, and with an all new receiving corps it would have been nice for him to get a full compliment of camp reps.

Not a good day for my FF squads.

Seems like my injury fortune this year is shooting it's wad too early as the owner of the following players.

Fields
Ridley
Ford
Howell

The season is five weeks away
The number between 4 and 6.
Y'all are saying the same 🙏

I think we are more worried about this hampering Hopkins into the season.

A few on the defensive side

Denver LB Drew Sanders tore his Achilles.and is out for the season.
Colts DE Samson Ebukam (Achilles) out for season
Cowboys DE Sam Williams is out for the season with a torn ACL.

OP needs a rule please
Only FF players? Only significant injuries?
Jags had eight injuries mentioned today and I didn't post them because it seemed irrelevant. IIRC Browns and Saints had four.

I think having both starting tackles go down is at least something that should be mentioned. Harrison has a concussion and Robinson has an unspecified shoulder injury. Probably not a big deal but it bears monitoring.

I would say significant injuries to fantasy players or even really important defensive players.

OL injuries, especially multiple cases along the same line should absolutely apply as significant. Every year we see at least one top offense (and its constituent fantasy skill players) fall apart due to unexpected OL problems.
