Camaro is obviously the biggest idiot here. Hands down, no question. But the pick up, driving in the left lane, no passing anyone, holding up traffic is in a close second for d-bags. I feel bad for the semi driver.

I really hope we get to here what went down after this video ends, because I'm guessing that was a fun conversation.

agree, sheik.

camaro passing on the right- stupid. don't blame the pickup truck for not doing something to let him in, especially with another car right in front of him as the got to the big-rig.

I thought the truck was held up by the big-rig speeding up on the down-hill after the crest of the hill... but no- obviously intentional, which I could see for a little given the tail-gating the camaro was doing. also a ####, and should have passed the rig and pulled over... but not quite the same level as the dip#### camaro.

For the record, I still blame the guy riding the bike on the side road the most for this incident.

natch.

First off, it pisses me off when people drive slowly in the left lane. That being said, no way pickup is a "close second for d-bags". The Camero wins this is a landslide IMO.

The pick-up wasn't driving slow in the left lane. He had a car in front of him and was passing vehicles in the right lane. It wasn't until the Camaro almost sideswiped him that he slowed down to box the guy in as a response. So, yeah, I agree with you that it wasn't close.

Pick-up guy could have let it go, but chose not to. Bad decision obviously.

They both are idiots. The individual in the pickup truck could have just sped up to let the Camero pass.

Pickup truck was in the right when the Camaro at first attempts to force himself in front of him.. Happens almost daily for me.. Trying to drive safe and leave a car length or two in front of me and someone always thinks "Oh, thanks you left that for me "

But once the Pickup driver made his point and forced the Camaro behind him and then the right lane opens he should have moved over and let jerk wad go.. Catching up to the next Semi and slowing down to match the Semi's speed was just asking for something to happen..

The only real Victim here is the Semi diver who did nothing but drive..

Some people aren't going to be polite to someone who almost sideswipes them/runs them off the road.Edit: Watched again. I put it too strongly. Still, Camaro trying to cut in front of the truck with insufficient room was dangerous as hell. Can definitely see why truck driver was pissed. Should have been the bigger man and let it go. He gambled and lost.

It's not about being polite or not. It's about making a bad situation worse. And look at the outcome because the pickup decided he wanted to doll out justice.

I definitely agree, and stated as much.

And there is a huge difference between what the pick-up driver was doing and what the Camaro driver was doing. One is rude, annoying, and illegal (in terms of a getting a ticket). Camaro's move was reckless and life-endangering.

Agreed. The guy driving the Camaro is most in the wrong, but the pickup guy isn't far behind. As much as we hate to just let d-bags get away with it, provoking someone who is obviously a hot-headed jerk just put everyone else on the road's life at risk.

We just had an accident near me yesterday morning that 2 people died in and left 6 others in critical condition. I haven't read exactly what happened yet, but after seeing the cars involved, pictures of the accident scene, and knowing the stretch of highway, I'm fairly certain it involved some younger dumb kids driving like idiots.

Trying to hand out road justice doesn't solve the problem, it makes it worse. If you really want to make someone pay, take down their license plate and call the cops.

complete aside- but why would the person be filming that? did he see the camaro in his rear-view driving like a maniac and just hit record button?

From the replies he had on his YouTube page, it seemed like he was just recording his drive. Maybe in case an accident happens so he has video proof.

Dash cams are becoming more popular. From commercial drivers that have them to protect them/their company, to people looking to capture stuff like this, or even folks who have them to protect themselves in the event of a run-in with police.

I had something similar happen to me one time driving through Charlotte. I was in the fast lane just flowing with traffic. Everyone was going 15-20 mph over the limit but maybe I kept too big of a gap or something with the car in front of me and a guy tried to pass me on the right. I sped up so he couldn't pass and then slowed down to what the cars were in the slow lane for a good 5-10 minutes. At least that guy wasn't dumb enough to try to then pass me in the median. I've had other stuff happen driving in Charlotte. They have some aggressive, stupid drivers down there.

Then you, sir, are a ####.

Thank heavens you were too mature to add to the problems.

Yes...yes, they do.

If Camaro driver wasn't drunk he could have pulled off the move safely. However, he was drunk swerved all the way into the grass that caused him to spin out.

So yeah truck guy contributed but camaro guy gets the majority of the blame. I spend a lot of time behind the wheel these days and I can't tell you how many times someone has nearly hit me. Personally if I were in the pickup I'd have gotten over after I passed the first truck. Too many crazies you got to let that crap go. After flipping them off of course.

Do insurance companies give premium discounts for dash cams? Would help save costs on determining fault.

Edit: Pickup driver is the French word for shower. Camaro driver is a danger to society.

So people are just recording the road as they drive? We are blessed to be living in these amazing times.
You can put in a decent little system pretty cheap these days.
expensive, cheap, free- still recording...the road.
to possibly capture something like this.. or many other things that happen on the road.. Yea, most days you'd end up deleting it.. But if you do get in an accident, or witness something, having it will pay off.

It became a lot more popular here in the US when a Russian captured a meteorite crashing on his dash cam.. You just never know what you might capture
