Making an exception with a non NFL post. As I want to know the Shark Pool feeling on this. Wondering the interest level from people for this.

CFP has been decently entertaining. Got some serious NFL prospects in this one. Ohio St favored by 8.5 which is pretty big for a championship game. Hopefully ND keeps it interesting.

I hate what NIL and the portal have done to college sports.....it's a joke.....it's not college sports, it's mini professional sports with a wild west mentality and zero regulation.....people complained about the NCAA having too many regulations, now they complain they don't have enough and "aren't doing anything about it"....even though in the past players actually going to class and earning a degree was kind of a joke....today there really is no such thing as SCHOLAR/athlete....that phrase should be eliminated form the English language....there is no loyalty....no recruiting and developing a player that stays with you....they will jump to the highest bidder...when a starting QB transfers from perennial power Georgia for one year to the U there has to be something wrong....I mean what is the pride in cheering for the U when your starter transfers in like that....does that really make you feel good about your program...how many CU recruits are gonna bounce as soon as Prime goes to DAL or LV...it just doesn't feel right....it feels greasy....

My #1 and #2 most hated teams, hard for me to find any motivation to watch it, I’m sure I’ll tune in though

Hoping there’s some way it can end in a tie
I was born into a Michigan big blue family, started to like Alabama as a kid and now live in the crimson state.
My BiL is a big ND fan and a good guy so I guess it’s cool if he’s happy but I’d be happier if they both lost.

Minimal interest in the game, as there is some future NFL talent involved.

I don’t watch college football like ever. But I’m traveling for work today and will get to my hotel around the start of the game. With no kids and wife around, sure why not?

Eh. 1. I stopped watching college ball well over a decade ago. I'm curious enough to check the score at some point tomorrow, but that's about it.

I voted 2 but should have voted higher, was kind of doing it based on a different criteria.

Love the new playoff format. Viewed last week as having 5 straight days of awesome playoff football and 3 days of that this week. I'd even say the best 3 day stretch of football we get all year and this game my not be the topper but it's part of it.

Just not excited about the match up is only reason I voted lower and that's kind of the criteria I was basing it on when I voted. But it's still must watch TV.

I said 3. I'd be pretty surprised if Notre Dame won.

I'm probably slightly in the minority, but I'm not a fan of the playoff format, or the massive conference realignment that happened this season.

Didn’t even know it was happening tonight until my son told me. Thought it must have taken place 1-2 weeks ago. Figured I simply missed the news of who won.

Big interest for me. I grew up a ND fan and married into an Ohio St. family. Big fan of both. I suppose I can’t lose.

It's football
So I'm super interested
No horse in the race
No green on the line
Just want to watch a good game

ND should have worn the green uniforms.
red and white
Wut?
do you want them to get all the calls or not...
For the first time in my life I’m torn on a game. Huge ND fan for most of my life, but became an Ohio State fan 27 years ago when I married and my stepson is an OSU alumnus. Especially love the buckeyes the last decade+. I’m one of those guys that always says you pick one team and one team only, but this is tough. I grew up in Ky and if they were at this level I would pull for them over everyone. Big UK fan. Hey, we at least have basketball. College football is the only sport I feel this way.

I'm in the same boat. As a Wolverine fan, I can't root for Ohio State. I think it's illegal. So I guess I hope the other team wins. Blech!

I'll probably tune in to catch the last little bit after my wife goes to bed.

Long run by Judkins, but got caught from behind. Long speed suspect?

I doubt it (at least as an indicator). In a national championship game, there ought to be a DB that can chase you down. Check his forty at the combine (if he runs) and calculate his speed score. Then you'll know.

eta* And there are lots of useful RBs in the NFL with suspect long speed. I could go through and probably tell you that about half of them can't really house anything.

eta2* From the 33rd Team:
  • Short-area twitch and explosiveness are much more impressive than his second gear in the open field

I know Henderson doesn’t have issues with long speed, vision, receiving, or explosiveness. Just injury history.

Edit: Have both in DEVY leagues.

Never thought I would see the day where ND would get blown out in a National Championship game. Er…wait, I saw it the last time they were in it.

Yale is #1 with 18 titles. However, last one in 1927.

Edit: 3 Ivy League schools in the top 10
Back then the winner was who made the most extra points. Scores were 3-2, 2-1, etc.
Lol. Hardly. Yale was a juggernaut. 2 Heisman winners, 100 all Americans 28 HOFers

That’s all hokey stuff though, my Gophers have 7 national championships. I don’t count anything pre-1970.

We claim 1904 also.
