Interesting league rules for WR that I cannot plug into VBD sheet (1 Viewer)

Hey all,

I am in a league with some very interesting scoring rules that cannot be plugged into the Dominator or the Excel sheet.

Basically, you get 2 extra points for receptions of over 20 yards, and 4 points for receptions over 40 yards. For a TD over 50 yards you get another 2 points + 6 for the TD

So a 50 yard TD = 5 points for the Yardage, 6 for the TD, 4 for the reception over 40, and 2 for the reception over 20 = 17 points. Now the TD is easy to put into the system, but a 40 yard non td catch has no where to go. Now we cannot project everything, but I am wondering what you all think this would do to a VBD setup.

In the setup of 2 2 with a flex, the RBs dominate 21/24 spots with Manning, Steve Smith and another WR being the only non RB in there. when I go 2/3 on the dominator/sheet, the WRs creep back into the picture, but it is still RB dominated. RBs to NOT get bonuses for long runs, and historically having good WRs trumps good RBs in this league.

Any thoughts.

In 20 minutes the thread could be on page 3 due to flood of player spotlights and people posting about "owning their draft" last night.

The first thing to do is to find out which drugs the Commish was using when he was setting up the league.

Bump up your WR projections. It'd take some work, but I'd really bump up the WR scoring under the 'setup'. You can apply different scoring to different positions, so I'd play around there, really bumping up the various pts per receving TD's for just WR's. I would also artificially inflate the numbers of deep threats, like Evans, Stallworth, Moss. Oh man, Randy Moss could win you a league title. That league is all about big plays, I've played in leagues like that. (YOu're not in Mass are you?! ) Frustrating when you have a better overall week, and some shnook starting Doug Gabriel and Drew Bennett beats you.

I'd probably never start a RB at the flex in that format.

For the first 2 years I went the three flex RB and went no where. THe last year I went to 3 wide and was doing well, but then I had LJ on my roster so things could have been a little skewed.I think that by adjusting the starters to 2/3 I have the right VBD balance. Also since I am a "tier" guy, the ones with the biggest play chances will be at the top of the tier.
