your wifes mind works that way.I have insurance and filed a claim, how am I not taking care of my family?wow, i need to read this again, I am similar in some ways and find every possible excuse to not deal with something.Craig...I can't speculate what's wrong with this guy or what it will take to learn his lesson. Perhaps his spouse freaks out on him. Maybe reality sets in after the initial shock that he could of died or killed someone. Down the road if he has insurance and his premium skyrockets maybe it hits him then.
I am sitting in rush hour traffic, traffic was backed up for miles. Traffic was getting worse because we were trapped in the left lane and I was getting his info. The police response would of taken forever.
Police would of been mad they were being called to a non injury accident.
I am suppose to put out hundreds of drivers so I can watch a cop issue him a ticket for no proof of insurance and maybe texting. I am suppose to ruin some guys life over a cracked bumper?
I don't get it, and this is why society is going down the tubes. I was wronged and will be inconvenienced, therefore I should take this guy for everything he has to "teach him a lesson."
You made up this whole scenario in your mind as to why to not call the cops and file an accident report.
He is an immigrant, it will ruin his life, cops are busy, i'm not worth causing traffic
I mean I have done similar to just not bother getting ins companies involved.
Just know your wife is keeping score of the times you wuss out on something for any of the hundreds of excuses you make up in your head to not take action on something.
Your wife is basically looking at this as you value this guys situation over your families.
Meanwhile you are sitting there thinking you're just being the nice guy.
She says call cops and file a report.
You say no, he will get in trouble, cops have better things to do, we will cause traffic.
you wife thinks great everything else is more important than your family
